Hello Everyone.

Today starts a new and exciting first step for me. I received the program RPG XP from my husband as a gift. I am a writer for young people. I wanted to try my hand at turning my first book into a game. I wanted to see if it would bring out other abilities within me. I first started getting interested in RPG's when my eldest son needed a way to get rid of a very annoying person, which was always causing trouble for my son's game. He wanted a method of getting this person to leave on his own, but still not hurt or kill off his character. Only to really teach him a lesson.

 

I made up this plot: After many warnings from his friends, not to enter this room, this thief character enters a huge room. Suddenly, he finds no doorways! The one doorway in which he had entered was an illusionary wall, which only worked one way. Going into the room. The thief begins to search the room, finding no way out, except he sees a trap door on the ceiling. His friend cannot hear his cries for help.

 

All of a sudden, the trap door opens and a smell mass falls over the thief. He had ventured where he was not supposed to go. It happened to be a dragon's toilet that the thief entered.

Sad to say, my son really did have the upper hand over his troublesome friend.

 

After that day, I began to start writing down ideas that would come to me. These ideas soon formed into a group of manuscripts. Which I am editing. I need more descriptive words to express how my characters feel and act towards others. I thought if I could see them in action, that this would give me a better knowledge on how to handle my characters. Most are very complicated people.

I do a great deal of surfing the net and forums to gather information on how to learn to do many different things. One never stops learning. I am trying to develop a method of illustrating my maps so they don't look so flat, and uninteresting. I read through many sites looking for what I need. Then I change them to better fit my ideas. Writing can be a gift sent from heaven, but it can be a curse as well, if you have an imagination like I have.

I have been teaching myself to write these series of manuscripts. There are ten manuscripts and it has taken me well over twenty-five years to get to where I am now. It is mainly editing, maps and a few picutres to describe my own characters and villian. I noticed this forum has a writing forum. I am thinking of posting one of my stories. Well, must get back to work - I am editing today.

 

I also wanted to mention that I have seen your tuts and they are very good and easy to understand. As soon as I get my program, you will be seeing me even more on your forum. I am looking forward to learning all I can.

I have always had a good imagination. That is why I have taken up writing. I really enjoy what I do. As I told the other on this forum I follow a schedule and have been busy with other things this week. I will be getting things together and find the money for the RPG Maker XP. The one I had was not very good. I am getting another one as soon as I can. Thanks for the welcome.

No, thank you! As I have said, I am only learning about these forums. I do enjoying meeting people, even if it is just on a forum. I know this is off the topic, who do I see to put one of my stories up in the literature forum.

btw, did you mean by young people kids ? or like the kewl "Teen" Novels such as HP and Eragon ? (pardon my lack of English books knowledge, cuz young has many meanings these days, I saw someone call a 40 years old dude a young man, and he meant it....I'm not joking)

I realize that, except when it damages your health by working fourteen to eighteen hour days. I don't even have time to sleep. Even when I am sleeping I still have the story coming in my mind. I can sit at the keyboard and the words to the story just keep coming constantly. I can be having coffee with a friend, and there I am writing down certain phrases that are important to the story. Sometimes, I actually feel like I am there on the Isles living with these people. Seeing, hearing and using my sixth sense to tell me what they are feeling. It is weird, but I have been told that this is what really happens to a writer. It comes naturally to me. I just wish I could get some sleep.

anyway, I tried writing once, and I surprisingly did a good job, I'm not gud with writing speeches and everything, but I rly think that I'm gud at story writing, and I have to say, writing is one of teh best parts in making RPGs to me along with 3D modeling and....scripting O_O so dunt let my kewlness fool you Ratty ;)

Please don't say that about yourself. I know one thing about you. You are a good listener. Not many people are these days. I have posted a beginning story as a welcome gift to all of you. Like it or not, it doesn't bother me. It is for those who do like to read. Making new friends is always important and it doesn't matter what age they are. Keep smiling.
