Vinzo1309 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2012 right. my problem is probably one in which many many people have had at various points. so, long story shortened; old computer broke(call it XP). new laptop from pc world (call it 7) transferred data on HDD from XP to 7. now... RMXP will not work. just gives me the "dreaded" nTitles error message. i followed several guides, but as my laptop is offline, i have no way of getting online. i installed it all on a USB memory stick to use on another computer (also on 7) and after following anything i could get my hands on it worked. the 30 day trial popup that is. feeling smug, i popped back home to plug the memory stick into my laptop and ran RMXP. but, of course, it "couldn't obtain a trial serial from the nTitles server". is there any registry codes anywhere that i can use to bypass this popup and type in my code? I'm not a complete idiot, i have done registry bypasses before. (damn my crippling offline-ness!) i'm willing to buy it again for a new code, i was so close to completing a project when XP broke. please, any help would be greatly appreciated. oh, and one last pointer, if anyone suggests to go elsewhere where i can get internet, i have no friends with internet anywhere within 2 miles of me and i don't want to take my brand spanking new laptop half a mile to the nearest free wifi spot. because i don't want it stolen. it cost too much to risk it, and i have been mugged for a bag of chips before. (by the way this is all typed up in college so i may not be able to post any more info til monday next week.)
Polraudio 122 Report post Posted January 19, 2012 You have no choice but to be online when running RMXP for the first time. Theres no way around it. You say your at college so you could just bring your laptop to college and use that internet so rmxp can connect to get the key from nTiles server.
