I just watched the video, so I want to tell the others about this thingy or whatever you call it.. I couldn't find any other thread that fit this, so.. BLAH.. but they are deciding laws behind our backs.. by bypassing democratic processes.. blah blah.. they impose new criminal sanctions.. bla bla.. to stop online file sharing.. blah blah BLAH.. ACTA, aims to make internet service & access providers legally responsible for what their users do online.. BLAH FREAKING BLAH.. turning them into private copyright police and judge.. BLA BLA BLA.. censoring their networks.. bla bla.. the chilling effects on free speech.. bla bla.. would be terrible.. BLAH BLA.. in the name of patents, ACTA, would give large corporations the power to STOP generic drugs before they reach the people who need them, and to stop the use of certain seeds for crops.. bla bla.. the european parliment will soon vote on ACTA... bla bla.. this vote will be the occasion to say NO, once and for all, to this dangerous treaty.. bla bla.. as citizens, we MUST URGE our representatives to reject ACTA... Theres still a chance that it could go downhill. It all depends if the ISP's agree and follow it. This is something the big baddies want terribly, and it will keep coming back unless the 13 million+ who stood up against SOPA/PIPA come back to fight this one, and any other offspring it may create. There was, unless it is still floating around, the elder of SOPA/PIPA, called IPA (Internet Piracy Act). It was what caught my attention to these ridiculous bills about online illegally distrubuted copy righted material. I've been trying to destroy it since then.
