Me and my friend are trying to start an arcade in our town, the problem is i cant find shit for laws or rules or anything, iv tried to contact the gaming companies, most of which have no way to even contact them anyway, which is kinda wtf. Anyway, we want to build our own boxes for the games with our own systems for reasons i cant exactly explain due to it being the creative idea we need to get secured b4 soemone can jack it. What i need to know is game liscnece rules for the old arcade games, what i need to pay for, whats free, what the special rules are for your own machines since we arent buying thiers, etc. iv looked for hours and i cant find anything at all, PLEASE HELP! Kange 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2012 bump....really guys? nothin..? ok so heres what i got so far.. 30 games, all lined up for the arcade, priced and i have my provider, the total comes out to 66600 jsut for the games, 50 to register them. also going to have a game shop, so if anyone knows of any wholesale game shops online, let me know. on top of that, a juice bar, a lounge and some computers people can use for a small hourly fee. in the lounge, people can go hang out and even play the games they jsut bought or brought, whichever, and the machines are gonna be 1 cent, 50 cent and 100 dollar machines, pending the game. also building mech pods with special controls for games like mech warriors. free wi-fi, all that fun stuff. Have each person pay a $5 entry fee and the winer gets like 50%-75% of winnings or just have a fixed ammount. Kange 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2012 i already have a thousand ideas. currently im making a survey and i have two locations. imgonna hand the survey to eveyone i see in a 5 mile radius and get a ton of data and give it to the score office to see chances of success in each area. to advertise, ill be goin to the local news stations,. i knwo of two and getting interviews, plus teh paper, plus going around handing out 50 cent rolls of pennies with the name of the arcade and the address/phone number on it, as well as giving free plays to kids under a certain age, weekend open, huge game tournament, im thinkin tekken original, then a lock in for the night of pure gaming fun :D everntually i plan on building up into a multi storied arcade, the view of down town tulsa is sooo amazing, an elevated glass walled room would be absolutly perfect :D im so excited :D:D:D lol anyway...tourny, already palnned :P ty tho :D also, adding skeeball, and those kinds of games later on as revenue grows ^^ Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
