Legend of a Dude [VXA]

So, I recently got VXAce and I figured the easiest way to learn how it works, is to dive head first into it. Backtracking a bit to when I got VX, I made a game called "Legend of a Dude" which was REALLY horrible, but it was my first game EVER. I've been planing on revamping it, but Ive been busy working on other projects that never came to fruition (Like Final Fantasy 14, Fire Fantasy and Devil's Servant). So, with the release of VXAce, I figured now would be a good time to revamp it. I don't have much in terms of screenshots or videos or...just about much of anything, but here's what I DO have.

 

STORY:

Galen (main character), is from the continent of Stormreach. When his friend Janet calls him over to Lakefront for a quest, he hops a boat and (reluctantly) boats across the ocean to Lakefront. Janet tells Galen that King Asgard wants Janet to collect "The Jewels" but she needs help. These Jewels are said to either plummet the world into darkness, or raise it into an Age of Prosperity, depending on the wielder's wishes. So, Galen and Janet set out to the Kraton Pyramid to collect the first of the 6 Jewels, The Jewel of Earth. From there, they will journey across Lakefront to collect the other 5, meeting friends and foes, new and old along the way.

 

CHARACTERS:

 

Galen - Swordman - THE DUDE

Galen hails from the continent of Stormreach. He has come to Lakefront under Janet's request. He is a intelligent and uses phrases similar to "Existentially fraught free throws" (but doesnt actually use that phrase in the game (First person to get that reference gets a cookie =D)) His vocabulary is large and somewhat colourful. He dual-wields Swords and learns offensive and healing magic.

 

Janet - Soldier - THE SOLID

Janet is a narrow-minded Soldier. She doesn't ask questions, she just does it. Her vocabulary (unlike Galen's) is small and limited. She can equip Swords, Lances and Axes and does not learn magic.

 

Zihark - Swordmaster - THE SWIFT

Zihark is a hard-headed swordmaster that protects King Asgard personally. He does not sugar coat anything and prefers to slice-to-pieces first and ask questions later.He equips Swords and does not learn magic.

 

Gard - Gunner - THE ACUTE

Gard is can tell a lot about a person simply by observing them and their body language. He can also usually tell when and where an enemy will strike next, so he has a higher than usual evade rate. He equips guns and does not learn magic.

 

Alaine- Wizard - THE QUIET

Alaine is a quiet little wizard and is a bit naive. She does not know much about war or combat, but volunteers to tag along anyways. She equips staves and learns offensive magic.

 

Bryce - Monk - THE STRONG

Bryce is a flirty teenager high on hormones. He is outgoing and speak his mind always, no matter the situation. He has exceptional power and can deal devastating attacks. He equips claws and learn healing magic.

 

Efram - Ice Mage - THE COLD

Efram is a temporary character, and have thus, not created a bio for him. (Just sayin')

Thats awesome man. Totaly reminds me of a classic rpg. Excellent work on the character depth. I would definitely play this.
