Animated Title Screen request

Recommended Posts

Hi, I just have a simple request. I'd like to get this VX Script to work in XP:

http://www.atelier-rgss.com/RGSS/Menu/VX_Menu04.html

Or at the very least, a script that works like it. Another possible candidate which looks much like it is this one on youtube but the creator said he lost the script:

I would love the menu system to work like that one in the video.

Sorry, but according to Kellessdee:

Ah, well, those functions are in the Sprite class for RGSS2

Those don't have any ruby equivalent source, as they aren't programmed in ruby. Those properties define the parameters for a raster scroll/wave effect. Ruby would be too slow to pull off that kind of graphics processing.

EDIT: Basically, you won't get that functionality in RPG Maker XP, unless you plan on using RGSS2 in RMXP and rewriting most of the default classes, unfortunately.

The MOG - Animated Title Screen Miria V 2.0 you wanted would be impossible to convert to XP without rewriting major of XP scripts to VX. I was practically done translating but that one line that required a non-XP method was impossible to convert without doing what I and Kel just wrote.

Edit: Your video is broken.

Not my video, and if you click the link that says watch on youtube, it should work.

Also Isaac gave me an on map one, but that one doesn't seem to like the menu system I am using ugh...

Alright, I found a title screen I like that works. Mog's title screen Sora which was inside XAS. This topic can now be closed :)

I GOT ONE HERE! ITS AMAZING, I fixed a little bug here.

ITS 100% made by ForeverZer0

Here:

# Version History
#:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:
# Version 1.0 (3.14.2010)
# - Original write
#
# Version 1.1 (3.18.2010)
# - Fixed a bug that would crash the game if you tried to return to the Title
# Screen from the load screen when using the Load Transition.
#
# Version 1.2 (3.21.2010)
# - Added a part to pre-cache all the bitmaps before the animation begins,
# which should drastically reduce the possibility of lagging.
#
# Version 2.0 (10.03.2010)
# - Totally re-written from scratch.
# - Eliminated the unprofessional 'flicker' that would occur if the database
# had an image defined for the title graphic.
# - Improved performance, compatibility, overview, and configurability.
# - Added Features:
# - More options to how animations operate, with easier configuration.
# - Added scene linker to easily add new commands to the title window.
# - Added config to work with custom save systems.
# - Add option to display text on the background.
# - Window appearance can now be easily changed.
#
#:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:=:
#
# Compatibility:
# - Should be compatible with just about anything other than scripts that
# add animation, etc. to the Title screen
# - Compatible with SDK
#
# Explanation:
# This system will allow you alter the title screen and add some different
# effects that are not normally available.
#
# Features:
# - Animated Title
# - Easy display of picture on screen and/or over animation
# - Random Title Screen each load
# - Transition Effect on loading saved games
# - Weather/Fog Effects
# - BGS and SFX
# - Window configuration.
#
# Instructions:
# - All the below configurable values can be set to nil to disable the feature
# with the exception of SAVE_DATA. It is already configured to the default
# system so leave it alone if you are not using a custom save system.
# - If using the animated title, all pictures need to be named exactly the
# the same, but have a different number at the end. The numbers should be
# consecutive and in the order that the animation should follow. The first
# image should be 0. (Ex. pic0, pic1, pic2, pic3, etc.)
# - Configuration is below. Individual explanation for the settings is in
# their respective sections. All Graphics, Fogs, SFX, BGS, etc. that you use
# need to be in their normal folders.
