Black Shadow 14 Report post Posted July 4, 2007 Yeah, I know people. Caves is....a hell to map with. But don't worry. I will try to explain a simple way with this tutorial. Cave Tutorial Map Type: Earth Cave Map Size: 20X15 Let's start then. Simple as it can be, start like this. First Of all, I would probably suggest to start with cliff walls, and stuff like that. In other map types, I awlays starts with roads, and rivers, but not in caves. When I start with walls, I know exactly where to go next. Now, make entrance and the exit, just where you want to have it. Now, into details. Just like in other maps, I love details. Use them. Let your mind play with it. And now, another exampel of my maps.( I used this map when I seeked as the mapper teacher on this site. I hope it was simple. 1 Gary The Duck reacted to this

I love how you made a second layer of wall edges on the bottom left corner of the last map! I never knew how to use those crumbled stones..I still don't... I just don't like how they look. Blackshadow, can you show us how to merge tilesets? I want all of mine in one, even if it lags my computer. Thanks! ~Kiriashi~
Nisage 31 Report post Posted October 5, 2008 So that's how you make an Earth Cave on XP. I've been making them the wrong way then. Oh well, live and learn. Thanks for the tutorial. Question, how did you post the pictures on here? (I'm almost unable to with the other way)

EDIT: oh, and after you upload it, you have to attach it.

EDIT: oh, and after you upload it, you have to attach it. I've done that, but it still says I am using 395.4K of 500K space, even now and I have nothing uto attach to this reply. And when I uploaded the pictures, they didn't look like how these are put up. So I was wondering if there was another way or if there was only one. If not, then I'll have to ask my friend if I can borrow their Photobucket account again.
