Extremely simple script question.

I am using rpg vx ace and I have a sbs made by jet. When the enemies attack they just flash like usual but it goes rather fast and i can barely tell who is attacking who. Does anyone know what I have to type to make the enemies sprite move slightly to the right when attacking then return to their original position? I found the line of code where the enemies flash but i don't know what to type to make the sprite move. Yeah im kind of a total noob at scripting.

Actually what would be even better was if the actors and enemies moved over to the enemy they were attacking like in some vx sbs I've seen. If this is too complicated and not just a simple command like (actor.sprite move to enemy.position) or something like that then don't worry about it. Having the enemies step forward is all I need as the actors already do that.
