I had this great idea for a resident evil RPG that follows the storyline of the movies, starting with resident evil 1 for the first game. If your interested, i need a team of people to assist with scripting and spriting. Here are my ideas, or you can just contribute something and i will give u heaps of points.

Ideas that will be in the game:

      Using rpg VX
RPG XP custom made sprites for characters
screenshots and audio from the actual movie for cutscenes
An action battle system (I have used Vampyr's SABS (look it up))

Ideas that I am not sure about (please comment):

Having a survival mode as well as story mode (not sure how to do this)
Making the cutscenes in RPG maker rather than using screenshots from the movie

Things I need help with (please contribute)

An umbrella corp themed window frame
      Sprites: Zombies
      Zombie dogs
The mutant creature at the end of the movie

If u have any ideas or suggestions please comment.

Today I've done a bit of work on the new Hope Afloat (Remastered). I finished the 1st street of Emberville and a interior apart from Kyle's Interior. I also managed to get Photoshop CS3 off my old computer (woo) so soon I'll be adding some CFL (Cosmetic Fog Layers) to the interiors/exteriors. Currently on the Emberville checklist, I have 1/4 streets (not including the docks) and 1 out of countless interiors. The new Hope Afloat lets you explore interiors to get more ammo (as mentioned previously) and so you can find new items around the place.

I've edited the start quite a bit. Now you don't start with your pistol but don't worry, you find one before you encounter any zombies. The first street is kinda like a tutorial. No infected so you can explore until your heart is content. The first street is called 'Maple Drive', it's the street Kyle lives on.

I'm also thinking of adding a 'Library' to the menu system. Anyway, the Library will be a mix between a guide of factions (survivors, army, infected, etc.), a overview of main characters (will be unlocked before the last level of each game) and as a Beastinary for the different types of infected (added as you complete towns).

RGangsta said he'd be able to hand-draw the maps for me :D I now just need to talk to Leon about 2 scripts I need a bit of help with making. I dont have the time right now to give you guys any screenshots but I promise I will next time. Peace.

Well, a lot has changed since my last entry. The girl I liked doesn't like me, but I'll get over it. My projects are slowly progressing nicely, with the addition of two more. You might think I'm crazy, and guess what? You are right :alright: . Nah, not really. The two new projects are, as you may have guessed, to do with zombies. One is called "Ending the Nightmare" which is about, as the name says, is the end of the infection on one of the main continents. The main storyline has been mainly completed, just making this very ambitious project will be the hardest part. I'd like to thank Leon for helping me learn scripting; this knoledge will very valuable while making this project. The next project is called "SHAD-E Department", named after a game me and a friend used to play. And, yes, it involves zombies. My friend is helping me make it but we havn't planned too much Storyline-wise. I'll get back to you with more when we develope it more. I'd like to thank Rgangsta for drawing up the characters for use in-game and for title screens, etc..

Life has gotten a lot weirder since the last time I've typed a blog, too. I can't exactly tell you due to its nature (no, it's not illegal or anything. It's perfectly all right) but only a small handful of people actually know.

I'm very happy to say I have finally released Hope Afloat v6; now featuring Engora. Engora, by far, is the largest town so far and features a lot of extra things such as extra missions, extra weapons, etc.. It's taken 3 months due to the fact that I havn't had much inspiration to work on my projects for a while due to troubles with life but thats all behind me now. Just deciding what project to work on is a hard choice now that I can't roll a dice to decide anymore.

Grounded, Hope Afloat's sequel, is coming along very well. I realised recently that, when I released that fixed boat tileset, I can now finally complete the boat for Grounded and the end of Hope Afloat. Does anybody even know why it's called Grounded? Well, it involves a big boat and thats all I can tell you for now. There will be a lot of guessing in between the 2 games when one finished and you wait for the next to make its first release. Don't you just love that? Even know you check the website every hour on the hour waiting for that next one to have a release and, even though you get really frustrated, don't you love the feeling you get when you check the website for the 400th time and then its there waiting for you?

I've finally started doing some work on Alone, again, too. You ever get that thing where you are really badly sick and you eat some food and then you turn off that food for a while? I guess a similar effect is with Writer's Block. I kept trying to work on Alone during that time and I guess, until now, its had that effect. The next room should be ready for release soon.

Best Friends Forever [Remake] has, sadly, had not too much work on it. I work on it when theirs been some personal troubles and such and just need something to escape to and making those little worlds just seem to work. I'll try to make a release next time I can.

There is still a game I have promised not to tell ANYBODY about. Only 2 people know :D . Me, a friend, and the friend who is helping me make it. Both of these people are on the forum, mind you. I can tell you 3 things, however, 1; its not going to be released for quite some time. 2; it will be the full game once its released. 3; It's a horror game.

A Zombie World is coming along very, very slowly. I'm in the progress of adding a heap of new weapons into the system, since you will have a ton of places to visit. Along with mini-games, or more like mini-areas. Well, I hope to make a release soon but I will finish the 1st campaign soon. As I mentioned before, I'm going for a Left 4 Dead kinda feel. A small story at the beginning then its just shoot and slash and stab and kill your way through the hordes of zombies.

There's not too much to say, really. This time I'd like to thank a lot of people. First off, I'd like to thank Polraudio for being cool and always being on MSN. I'd like to thank Nisage for logging onto MSN from time to time and we have some good talks about card games and such. I'd liek to thank Leon for teaching me scripting and always having really good advice when I need it. I'd like to thank Marked for making the forum and being awesome and a heap of stuff like that. I'd like to thank Rgangsta for being a great friend and drawing up those pictures for SHAD-E Department. I'd like to thank RATED-RKOFranklin for being on MSN and helping make that game I can't tell you about. I'd like to thank Kiriashi for being cool and being an awesome mapper, glad to see you online from time to time. I'd like to thank Aqua_Dreams (a.k.a. Bridget) for being my sister werewolf, just kidding, lol. I'd like to thank Kaylen for helping me map for Alone and for being an awesome friend. Who else is there? Well, the rest of the RMXPU Community just for being there and being cool. Take care of yourselves.

Well, life is just tough sometimes. You know what that's like; relationships, problems. You sort it out of it doesn't work out, if you know what I mean. Anyway, I've grown attracted to a girl who I've known my entire life because she was born a few days before me. Usually I'm fine asking girls to dates but since she's a very dear friend of mine it is much more difficult. It's like trying to break a cast-iron lock with a toothpick. And behind that lock is my self-confidence.

Writer's Block is finally over. For you know don't know I was struck with Writer's Block a month or two ago and havn't been able to work on anything except for levels in my game Best Friends Forever Remake. Now that it's over I still have to try and break that cast-iron lock before I can actually do more than a few tiles or an event.

Status on my games? Sadly, not much. I've been working on the town, Engora, for Hope Afloat for a while now and am nearly done. Writer's Block just hit before it was finished and the ending of Engora is pretty deep in the storyline. When I get time I will be able to finally finish that god-forsaken town. It is, by far, the biggest town yet. A nice array of obtainable weapons, too. Also, Hope Afloat has a huge file size - 70mg. Thanks to a Program called Audacity I've been able to convert a heap of files into .ogg's. I've also removed some unneeded graphics and made all the other files smaller and managed to get it down to an amazingly small 24mg.

The Sequel to Hope Afloat, Grounded, hasn't got too far. The title and a small testing room is complete but there are still a lot of weapons to add and a new script to work on. It will prove to be very difficult but, in time, I will be able to release a demo. There's not too much to be said about Grounded at the moment, anyway.

Alone hasn't gotten too far. I'm sorry for Kaylen who has been helping with mapping that I still havn't been able to finish that next room I was meant to finish before my Writer's Block hit. I know the basic idea but just havn't been able to get the inspiration to work on it.

Best Friends Forever remake is the only one who got there while I had Writer's Block since it follows no storyline (thank god :D ). I've added a few more levels to it but have decided to release demo's in 10-level intervals. I have around 6 levels so far and when I get 10 I'll make another release.

I have a new project which the idea came to me just after Writer's Block left me; it's called A Zombie World. Imagine Hope Afloat on a world-wide scale. Imagine the story told by different people. I'm going for a Left 4 Dead kinda feel in the way it's portraid. Every time you pass a certain area you enter a new 'level'. I might have something like Safe Rooms/Houses to restock on ammo but you can find that stuff lying around everywhere. There are also going to be a heap of weapons that may not be seen in the Hope Afloat series for quite a while, or possibly never.

When I get aggrivated I usually sprite. Sprite the first thing that comes to my mind. Sometimes it's stories in their own. Sometimes it's just a figure crying in a corner. In a way, I'd like to thank Rated-RKOFranklin for asking for help with some sprites for his game, Megaman VX, because now whenever I get aggrivated at this mental-lock I don't draw what I used to but something I quite enjoy and that is productive. Thanks again, RKO.

I'd like to thank a few people quickly. I'd like to thank Formless for being a great friend and for giving up his time so we can play our own story on Starcraft. I'd like to thank Polraudio for being there when I need somebody to talk to and just being a good friend. I'd like to thank Kiriashi for just being awesome. I'd also like to that Leon, who has also been there to talk to and who has helped me on my quest to break open this mental-lock. I'd like to thank Marked for making the forum and fix that really annoying glitch that has bugged me. I'd like to thank the RMXPU community, too, just for being there. Thanks again and take care.
