Help with a VXace intro event.

Question

Does anybody know how to make the screen tinted dark "before" the game starts? Or make the screen fade in slowly when the game first starts? I cant figgure it out, and im getting really frustrainted. Ive tried useing "Wait X# of fraims" but i dont think that works with what im trying to do. Thanks.

1. If your talking before the title screen chances r your going to need a skip title screen script.

2. However if your talking like right after the player hits new game, there is actually a command for that. Look on the second page under screen effects, and make sure u set the event for auto-run or parallel processing.

If you still cant get it or neither one of those is what you need just let us know :P.

I had a way but the trial ran outsweatdrop.gif Sorry

Awww....that sucks. Thanks anyway.

@ Dragon324: Also, ive tried what you told me already....im still trying to see if i can make it work somehow...but no luck.

But i do have a new question concerning this. Can you make an even where a switch activates on another map....? Or does a switch have to activate on the same map. Like, lets say if i have an event on "map 1" that moves my character into a transporter event, where a switch is set up to activate when the character is transported to the next map.....is that confuseing?.... :/

Well first I still dont know exactly what you want before title screen or after and try to be 100 percent specific at what u want that way I can further help you, if needed when I'm more awake I'll take some screenies to show u . To your other question yes sorta but by using common events and switches.

ok, cool. Basically what im wanting is, when the player fist hits new game, the screen is comepleatly black and all you hear is "first" a crashing noise, then a falling noise, and then a noise like sombody hitting tyhe ground. I might put some text in there somewhere, but havent desided what that would be quite yet. then after all that, the screen fades in and your character is laying facedown on the floor of the first map, then some text, now the character can move around......this is more or less what im looking to do. Hope this is less confuseing.

Now I remember, what I did was start out on a blank map with zero players and had tinted to black right away. While its black then you add your members and do all your events, switch maps to the desired location, whatever. Once you've done everything you wanted in the dark tint the screen clear again. Hope that made sense.

Well, i think ive got it working satisfactory now....could be better, but at least i can move on with it. Only took one event too, as opposed to the three events i was useing to make it work.... :/

Okay at least it works, if what I said didn't make any sense I would of made a screenshot of the event as I have it on my laptop now.
