BradfordFL 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2007 Since I hope to make a world larger than the default 15x20 map... this seems rather important, eh? I've been trying to figure out how map movement works. How to go into buildings. How to walk off the edge of the screen onto a new screen.... Could someone please point me in the right direction, here? Sounds like an event, but, I don't see anything in the events list for it. Also, can I resize the map? Make it bigger than 15x20, so it scrolls? I'd rather do that than have to load a new screen every time the character walks to the edge. Thanks! Also... how do you import your own graphics? The specs are in the help file, but I don't see anything about how to actually add them. Just putting them in the graphics folder doesn't seem to work. Learning, learning. Thanks for putting up with the newbie questions, guys.
Mike_Tizzle 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2007 Hello, map movement idk that was something i was going to have to ask later resizing the map is easy, down where it says map 001 map 002 etc. go to the map you want to make larger you right-click and then click map properties and you can adjust the width and height. For importing resources, under tools is database, resource manager, etc. click resource manager and then import is right there. Hope that helps
Dark Dragon 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2007 just double click on the map and make an event then start messing around with the commands, you will learn faster than asking and waiting for ppl to answer you ... cuz we are soooooooooo lazy B)

KarshnerShagger 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2008 Transfer player command is something that I use as well. I try and make my maps between like towns or whatnot as large as possible so I don't have to use a lot of them. I also make sure that there are very few spots on the map that are passable to the next one. It allows me to use the transfer player command very sparingly because otherwise you might start noticing a lag depending on your computer.
