Story

In a dark world where nothing is as it seems, a man named Jerret awakens upon a beach without any memories as to his identity or location. What begins as a mystery and challenge to discover who he is spins into an even deeper adventure when Jerret begins having visions of another individual's life. As he follows the clues given him, Jerret begins searching for a woman he sees in his visions, traveling through dangerous forests, valleys, and caves, to reach her, hoping that she will have the answers she is looking for. However, the lands he passes through are far less than inviting, as wild creatures seem to drain his energy and health, as he tries so desperately to make his way to safety.

Matranat is full of darkness, mystery, and a deep intricate story that will captivate you, especially with game changing decisions you will be forced to make. Every action has an outcome. Though you may not see it at first, what you decide now could unlock a whole section of game play in a future game.

Setting

Matranat is a dark island shrouded in mystery and death, taking countless lives with the dark creatures, sicknesses, and poisons it contains. Only a fool would try and reach his destinations on foot, for the foul creatures which inhabit the island show no mercy. Not much is known about Matranat before the Podians first settled there over four-hundred years before the setting of the story. There are many towns which have been built over that time, but unrelenting death keeps the population to a low level. Poda had been the biggest town, and was almost declared a city before it was attacked and destroyed by a warring group who wanted their resources.

Each town has its own hardships, victories, and histories, which can be learned and used to help Jerret along his way. The more history you know, the better you will do. As the old saying goes, 'those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it.'

Matranat: Arc 1 is only the first game in a series of 4 planned games. All of them connect to each other, and each decision you make in one game will change some important events in the following games, as well as decide the final ending of the story.

Well, this is just the first Arc, or episode if you will and only has about 2 hours of gameplay. It was a test to see if people like the story, gameplay and such. The next games that come after will be a lot longer by far.

Well, it's real good. I haven't finished it yet. I'm at the picture puzzle. I'm going to pick up where I left off later.

The mapping is real good, superb.

The game seemed to flow nicely. It's very suspenseful, mysterious.

The fragments of memories he receives makes it real interesting.

From so far: I can't wait to play more!

Awesome. =) The game is more story oriented, however, in the second chapter once you leave that area, you have more of a battle system to use and attack enemies. =) The next game I'm currently working on, Arc 2, will be a lot different, but continue the story. It will have new systems like a memory flashback system to see the memories you've collected and such. At least that's my plan.
