Wii U! Release date, launch titles, Bayonetta 2

So a bunch of new info has finally been released for the Wii U.

 

 

So we have Bayonetta 2 exclusively coming out for the Wii U! That's pretty dam sweet.

Europe release date is November 30th, Premium and Basic models/ bundles.

Price Ranges as follows:

"Nintendo of Europe today revealed a Wii U release date of November 30. The Wii U price will be set between £199 and £280 in the UK, according to retail outlets."

Wii U launch titles list. Europe isn't getting Pikmin 3? Or is that just a mistake on their half. Personally I think North America has a better line-up.

I was considering on getting one but it doesn't look like my cup of tea anymore. So little HDD space and some launch titles are games that I already have.

 

It's an interesting game console though. It would be neat if it were a handheld as well, for instance, you can take a game on the go with the remote.

I would grab it without batting an eye lid if a new Metroid was going to be released for it, but I'm not going to buy it because there's no games I want... Very sad, I'm always the type to buy a new console as soon as it's released because it's brand new, but this time I'll have to withstand my urge to buy. Money is low, no real income and there isn't much going for it game wise imo.

 

I think if Crysis 3, Watch Dogs came out then it would help tremendously. I know the Black Ops 2 Wii U version has been specially developed for it's hardware seperate from other consoles, so it isn't a direct port which is a shocker.

lol Sounds like Treyarch is actually putting effort into their games now.

 

Anyways, yeah, if new games were coming out for Wii U, it would generate a lot more revenue. And, I'm just like you; I bought a PS Vita when I found out Assassin's Creed III Liberation was being released for Vita.

 

I wonder if it'll have FarCry 3, though.

Treyarch has always put more effort into their games unlike Infinity Ward.

 

Anyways, on topic. I like the idea of WiiU buy after my Wii experince I really don't feel like it's worth my money.

Already preordered it...though I was hoping Pikmin 3 was a launch title...and 101....and Legends. lol

Ah well, I got the Deluxe, so Nintendo Land will hold me over until one of them shows up. (I'm also getting Sticker Star on the same month, so, yeah, lol)

I don't feel the Wii U worthy of a pre-order. It's a cool concept I just feel like it'll be like the Wii and fail to deliever. Not to say the Wii wasn't a good idea and had no games. Because it did have cool ideas and game. I just found in the field of competing with my PS3. The Wii stood no chance at all. I hardly ever played it forcing me to eventually sell it. And I just have the feeling that the Wii U would end up the same way. Sitting behind my TV collecting dust while I play PS3.

I hear what you're saying and agree for the most part, but I do feel that this time round it will be a big competitor against other platforms. It actually has decent hardware, and hardware that is ready to compete with other next gens (when they come out). We already have ports of popular games which should mean the games that will come out for the other consoles will also come for Wii U making it a competitor that's on the same level as everything else.

I'm still not entirely convinced it will stand either way. Honestly I don't feel it has the hardware to compete in next gen. But only time will tell.

Rumours say that GTA V is coming out for Wii U as well, few retail stores lsited it on their websites but shortly took it down. So, hopefully it will be released for it!

Just because it has high targrt name games doesn't convince me of antthing. Because same could be said about Wii having Call of Duty and what not. And shooters on Wii were horrible.

Metroid is alsp a Nintendo based game isn't it? I mainly meant games that span on other consoles.

FPS games for Wii are only horrible if the developers don't bother, CoD 4 for the Wii had surprisingly well made controls but it came out too late in the Wii's life to make much difference

I couldn't tell for sure what you mean, lol...I'm not a huge fan of FPSs, and only played the Prime games because they're not entirely shooters. xD

Well I know for certain I'll buy one if either SSB, MEtroid, LoZ, Watch Dogs or a real good exclusive comes out for it.

 

What I'm also really excited about is how art programs will work on it. Say, if Photoshop were released on it, it would be great and act like a graphics tablet with a screen, similar to a Wacom Cintiq.

Yeah I could get Watch Dogs for ps3 or pc, probably pc if I were to buy it :P

 

I havn't heard of any art programs just yet, I'll do some reasearch soon, but I know it's one of the controllers features, to be used as a graphics tablet. I wonder if 'Colours!' will consider releasing for the Wii U, I have both for the DS and 3DS and it's really good.

Some trailer showed some guy drawing Link on the tablet then putting it up on TV, this was back when it was first announced. Don't think I've heard anything else about art-like games after that.
