I think it may be planned to be put on the dashboard if there's still a plan for a dashboard. I think its great having its own page. It makes it easier to read. It's right there are the top of every forum page *frustration* I think it may be planned to be put on the dashboard if there's still a plan for a dashboard. I think its great having its own page. It makes it easier to read. Of course there's still a plan for the dashboard. The status updates role will be extended: dashboard, new profiles. But as for having them on the board index, they're not for advertising and they're not for support. The dashboard concept is your central place for all content that affects you. Marked 197 Report post Posted October 26, 2012 Maybe. I don't know if I want to move status updates 100% to the dashboard. I can't easily recreate the old functionality inside of IPB's pages using my old code, I'd have to bring the old sidebar back, which may good idea. How troublesome is it having to wait for the recent posts to load? The idea here is trying to make the page load as fast as possible, having the recent posts load asynchronously doesn't affect the loading of anything else. I dont like the idea of status updates right there on the main forum page. It encourages misuse. We'll see what I come up with for the dashboard.
