i made a stupid mistake and just now figured out what it was. i made 2 identical maps and was editing the wrong one. for future reference, if you are using Blizz-ABS (and maybe if you're not) using an animation event command on a completely blank event, doesnt work. the event needs to have some kind of graphic. that graphic can be completely transparent though.

In future, you don't really need to change the topic title to "delete". It's obvious you understand the value of these topics to other people searching for the same answer so it would be deconstructive to delete it. Similarly the new topic title makes it unsearchable.
