Are you using any custom scripts? Make sure the animations are set up to link to the skill

Oh, yes I am. I'm using Enu's Side-Battle System. Is there another one I should use that could offer me the same function, but would also allow me to see the animations?

I use that, and others, and the animations are played perfectly well. Make sure you installed the script correctly, and see if the animation files are actually present int he correct folder. You can easily check this by going into the "Terminal" or whatever it is called, and go to Animations and try testing a few of them. If none of them are there, reinstall the RM into another location and try again.

I can see all the animations play correctly, I made most of them myself and none of them are showing up in the test battle or a real battle. It's just showing the Basic Punch animation and sound, regardless of the skill, they all use the RTP Animations. I'm going into the Control Panel and changing the User and Target animations for the skills around to see if it's just those skill numbers but it's all of them that don't work.

For new skills, I think you need to add their ID to the script for them to show with the script.

Oh, ok. So if there's more than 100 skills I'd have to go into the script menu and change the value as well? Could I just delete the RTP Animations?

Just to make sure it was the script, and not my idiocy, I took out the script and the animations are playing properly, so it's something with the Script interfering with it.

I am pretty sure, yes. It works that way with other things, as well. If you delete the RTP, you would still have to include the ID of the new animations, unless you gave the new animations the spots of the RTP animations.

Then yes, you definitely need to add the IDs to the script.

Okay, they're working now. (I just took the lazy route and put them in the RTP slots.)

Took me longer than I'd like to admit before I realized I was messing around with the skills section instead of the animation section...

Thanks CrimsonInferno.

You are welcome! Enjoy! :b

Though it would be wise to invest some time into reading about the script a bit. You will be able to edit it a lot later, and add more animations etc etc to it.
