Well you have to make up your mind first, because some things are possible and some other aren't (well to be more accurate let's say some things are "obivous" and some other would require heavy recoding, just for a graphic effect).

Ahhh.... What do you mean?

Well, you mentioned that effect where a mosnter disappears in "stripes" - that effect, for example, is awfully complex to render compared to the normal red-fading, and by compelx I mean it requires ten times more code. So you're asking whether it's possible to make a different effect, I say yes. However, even though you potentially don't give a damn about that, a scripter will in turn ask himself "how difficult is it to do?" implying "am I interested enough to do it compared to the amount of work it requires?".

So basically I'm telling you, if you want that stripes effect, I'm not interested because it's difficult to do, and also ugly. But since you also mentioned you might want another type of effects, I'm telling you, make up your mind first and we'll see. Clear?

Ummm..... well, for me it can be any other type of effects. that Lufia' stripes effect was just an example anyways.

You can make the effect that you like or just easier. just different from the old one. That's just what I want.

So a fading to blue instead of red is okay? :P Seriously, I'm not just teasing, you can't ask people to make whatever they want, just different from the original, without any further clues. If you have no idea what you want yourself, your request is pointless.

You're right. I really don't know what I really want. I just want it to have different effects at each fight.

One In my mind,is the explosion effect. since you don't want to do the stripes effect.

It seemes to me like you haven't decided on what you want Darkness. Until then you should wait for this request cause it'll take quiet a bit of coding on the programers part and if you change your mind after it would have been a waist of time.

Also it's a bit much to want every battle to do something different, especially with something that does so little in a game and requires a lot of effort. Why not just stick with the regular fade for enemies and if you want a special one for bosses then use it there.

And if you really want that many different 'death fades' in your game, you should try to program it yourself to understand the trouble over such a trivial aspect of a game.

Well a suggestion I can give, having different effects depending on the weapon that kills the enemy.

Like with slashing weapons the enemy sprite splits down the middle,

with crushing weapons you squish the sprite on the y axis.

with piercing weapons you push the sprite back and tilt it down on the -x axis,

with explosives the enemy instantly vanishes, maybe show a smoke animation or turn it into a sprite of a small crater on the battlefield.

Though this somewhat borders with showing a different animation depending on the hit you take, rather than simply the way you fade the sprite.

actually looking at the Tenkentai battle system actually used an Advanced Collapse system you might like. I didn't go into all the details, but it made a FF6 boss sytle collapse fairly easily. You might wanna check that out.

Hey darkness, I just added a few more transitions to the script, so you might want to get the new version.

Also, if you want me to add any specific transition, then just request it here of on chaos project.

Well, It's alright. I'll wait until your script is complete.

Until it could have a certain transition for each enemy.
