GDU Roadmap

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Here is a roadmap of the more major developments we plan to implement into GDU, just as a little reminder of where we're going

http://www.gdunlimited.net/roadmap

If you haven't done so already, you can vote for which of the features you're most looking forward to in our recent survey: http://www.gdunlimited.net/forums/topic/9116-gdu-survey-2012/

You can also find the link to the roadmap in the footer.

We welcome any ideas you have on these or other future developments you would like to see implemented on GDU.

One thing I did leave out is the possible return on the project cards. Perhaps v3? ;)

Pretty nice to see the order in what features are coming first, the Games Section should be a great addition to the website.

Oh, I just realized that's misleading :/ This isn't in a particular order. You could say its ordered in what I consider to be the more major sections. The games section is obviously much larger and complex than the engines section, but through practically the engine section should and probably will be the first section to be made.

Ahh yeah I thought it was in order :P I agree with the engines section being priority, it should be as Engines are the base of any game. A suggestion might be to put a line of text stating that they're in no perticular order or something that tells you that they're in order of highest demand.

I think you should put up a list of supported makers and see who uses them here and then if anyone else needs one you can always add it later. but no use in posting a bunch of stuff members don't use.

I really like the project card idea but that just focuses on a project. Maybe the profiles should be aimed more at showing off professional expertise and stuff.

There are a lot of engines out there. How many do you plan to cover? and how will each engine be supported? Are you going to have a mod for on each engine?
