GAME DESCRIPTION:

 

Since the success of the PC-9801 version of CORPSE-PARTY released in 1996; Japan would never see a new work within Makoto Kedouin's CORPSE-PARTY series until Team GrisGris released Corpse Party NewChapter for the mobile phones in 2006. During this ten year drought, fans took it upon themselves to create a prequel to CORPSE-PARTY involving two sisters who were only mentioned in passing. They decided to create their derivative work using RPG Tkool XP, a popular RPG creation tool at the time and successor to RPG Tkool 2003, in order to maintain the style that Makoto Kedouin used when he originally made CORPSE-PARTY using RPG Tkool Dante 98. They called this game CORPSE-PARTY ZERO, which was led by Noraenu and features illustrations by Sanmaru. This fan game was released on June 4th, 2007, just eight months after the release of the mobile version.

 

With their initial goal to translate every Corpse Party fan game in existence, an American group called "Memories of Fear" translated this fan game and decided to release it on September 23rd, 2012. Now fans can finally live the prequel to CORPSE-PARTY that the Japanese community had been enjoying for over five years.

CAST OF CHARACTERS:

 

KAORI HASEGAWA (18 years old)

A well learned individual in both literary and military arts. She has been gifted with both brains and beauty. Kaori enjoys teasing her younger sister, Shiho, with ghost stories. However this time it seems to have gotten them wrapped up in something sinister. She pretends to be strong in front of her sister, but in reality, she is scared.

 

SHIHO HASEGAWA (15 years old)

A quiet, timid girl. She's extremely proud of her older sister, Kaori, who gathers everyone's gazes as she walks past them. She looks up to Kaori as a role model. She can't stand scary stories or situations. She also loves her yellow ribbon.

HOW TO INSTALL:

1. Download the RPG Tkool XP Runtime Package.
   
2. Run "xp_rtp103.exe" and click on the "Ok" button.
   
3. Run "Setup.exe" and click on the "Yes" button.
   
4. Click on "Next (N)", "Next (N)", "Install (I)", and "Finish (F)".
   
5. Run "CORPSE-PARTY ZERO ver2.0e" and click on the "OK" button.
   
6. Go to the folder where the game extracted to. (Default is X:\...\Projects)
   
7. Install the font, "Perfect DOS VGA 437.tff". (If, for some reason, the font won't install. Copy and paste the font into your Windows\Fonts folder.)
   
8. Run "Game.exe" to play CORPSE-PARTY ZERO.
   

CONTROLS:

• Confirm: [space Bar] or [Enter Key] or [C Key].
  
• Menu / Cancel: [ESC Key] or [X Key].
  
• Movement: [Arrow Keys].
  
• Dashing: Press and hold the [space Bar / Enter Key / C key] while moving the character with the [Arrow Keys].
