Oh lord no! I hate any site that has recent gallery images!! I hate that on forums, I hate it on image hosting sites and I hate it here!! It messes up the flow of the index and not to mention it seems to take more than double the time to load the index up now.

and the board panel does not need to be at the top. Why did you add all this Marked? In my opinion it ruins the flow of the index and it makes gdu seem very much like all the other forums.

Sorry but my vote is a no to the new stuff.

Reminds me to much of RMXPU. I like the way GDU was before this change, things loaded so smoothly and easily. I'll have to strongly agree, the way it is currently with the board panel and recent gallery, causes the site to load a lot slower.

Also just found out that on the recent status updates widget that the show comments just pops you back up to the top?

I like the stats widget at top but I think the recent gallery images thing can go, simply because I don't feel it's needed.

Well the stats are nice but could he have added them up in the lower navbar along with the status update link? maybe after over top posters would be better.

@ Shin - I do agree with you about the image gallery, if you could have an option for those that want it to be displayed, or for us who don't for it to not display would be nice. The rest doesn't bug me so much.

i agree, the first thing i thought when i saw the updates was that it was a rebuild of the old forum, i think they take up to much room for there purpose, maybe if we could treat them like spoilers, hiding and showing them when needed to conserve space

It's good to get some feedback on this. Fair call on the recent images. The reason for all of this is because I haven't got other facilities in place right now and I'm trying to get content out there as much as possible.

 

However, "Makes the index load to slow." : you don't know that its that slowing it down >.> The forum's hook system has always been slow, and that's why I made my own that loaded separately (thus the spinners). It's slow without having to load the images too.

 

I'll remove the images, but shin, could you make a new topic with new poll with two options: the current widgets or the prevoius widgets.

and thanks for the the recent images being gone but I would like a shortcut added after the overall top posters in the lower navbar. that would be perfect!
