I have a question on character levels in RPG Maker XP

This is probably in the wrong spot and I'm not sure where to put it but in my RPG (I'm using RPG Maker XP) how do you make it so that when a character leaves the party, their level will stay the same as it was when they left? Or how do you code it so that when new characters join the party, they will be two or three levels below whatever the hero's level is?

When you are adding the character you can see a small check box that says "Initialize". You should uncheck that.

Ah I thought so. I did join a while but I don't go here a lot so I am pretty confused by some of the topics and what not...

No problem, after all why would you touch something if you don't know what it does. Besides I really think the default option should be saving the characters' progress, not restarting them every time you add them to the party. You might want to use the question mark in the top right corner of the window, then when you click on something it gives you a small hint as to what it does.

 

By the way, you really didn't need to double post.
