ryanrulz_11 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2007 Yeah, i wanna take a medical course university in a few years. I'm in yr9 now but i'm just planning what i wanna do now. And like, in most subjects i'm getting A's and A+'s so hopefully it won't be such a trouble to get in since the chances of getting in are like 100 to 1 :( btw, i might be doing year 11 chemistry next year in year 10 so that'll be cool:p So, what do people think of the path i chose? Not many members here will know what you're talking about with year system. But here in New Zealand we use it. The path you are choosing is a hard and long one, and you have to work hard constantly to achieve your goal. Medicine is the probably the hardest, or at least well known for being one of the toughest. Its great to chose a career in yr9. I take yr12 chemistry, physics and biology, which you need to take to get into medicine, but i still have no idea what im going to when i leave school. I think it will be a rewarding path to take, but you have to dedicated... but getting A's and A+'s is great, i think you will do well if you are getting those scores. ryanrulz_11 0 Report post Posted September 8, 2007 :)Thanks Marked, and you don't necessarily need physics to get into medicine, its either physics or chemistry, and since i like chemistry i'm going with it. And sure, most people here won't understand the schooling system in AUS and NZ but oh well hahaha:d

ryanrulz_11 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2007 I live in Melbourne, Australia and you live in Melbourne so its quite different. But since Marked and I are around the same area, we have similar schooling systems. So you probably won't know what VCE, VCAL, (maybe known of) TAFE, etc. But i guess you get the idea with the career path anyway:)
