About that 'business -y' topic

Well, SCMike was asking for people's ideas about how to make this site more fun. Well, what happened to that group-game-thingo? Oh, that reminds me, i saw this RPG game on the net and you could tell that they used RMXP cos of the resources but nevermind that:p But still, if we could get a MMORPG going, then:

 

- It will be WAY more 'fun'

- It will attract members

- We could make a whole section of hints/FAQ's/boards for the MMORPG

- It keeps a well-mannered community

 

So i ask, why was this idea scrapped? (I know there's a reason, i just don't know it cos i've been gone for so long^.^)

Lack of interest was what brought it down. Sorry, mate. it is near impossible to complete a game over teh web. trust me.

Aye, that was the main reason that it was shut down...none of us could get an idea or anything...not enough interest in it basically. I'd love to do it, though, but I don't think we can unless we get enough people interested in doing it.

hmm, i can see where you're coming from. AND there aren't many active members here too. Well, we COULD get back to it if people agreed to do it but the same outcome may re-occur. But, hey, what's to lose, eh? If ya want, we could set up a poll to see whether people would be able to contribute to it, eg. mapper, scripter, etc. And we could go from there. I'm quite a good organiser so i could plan everything out and get primary dates written up, so do you guys wanna try it?

Sure, it sounds like fun. I can do some programming, but no scripting really. If someone can map, though, I can put in all the events and quests. I'd love to make an MMO...anyway, I'll post more in the MMO topic.
