Suggestion on my ACMS

Okay so I was coding a base script for all my menu scripts and I was wondering if I can get your opinion on something before the end of the day, hopefully people can cooperate.

 

In the base script, should I:

1. Create a universal moving background  (not the layout), where they all share the same background image;
2. Let each scene script have their own unique background; or
3. An option to be able to choose from option 1 or 2.

Tell me if this sounds confusing, also no poll because I want people to post. If I put a poll up people won't post they just reply to the poll. Not really helpful.

 

All you have to say is option 1, 2 or 3 and if you can add more to your post.

Why not have their own and you can set each to whatever you want. Have both. They can be the same or different. More customization = better.

Yeah but then people won't post, I rather hear your opinion then have you just click yes or no and never read what you have to say. This mostly to people who don't like contributing really. Also I upgrade the OP, hopefully it makes sense now.

Ya I guess we'll go with pol's ideal. I find it kind of sad that no one else could post 1,2 or 3, but whatever.

If it's a script for other people's game, its obviously going to be 3. I'd chose option 1 for my own game.

Whatever as an answer doesn't necessarily mean no one cares, it might rather be than this is not what people are looking for in an animated CMS. As far as I'm concerned for instance I have little consideration for whether there's a single animated background or one for each of my scenes (especially since I can script it myself in the end if really needed), the important part of it being that the background is actually animated in the first place. Also I tried to consider other people's potential opinion and I'm pretty sure there will be as many people that will want 1 as those that want 2. Let's say you get 33% of answers for each item, what are you going for in the end? 3, obviously. Anyways you can be almost certain that if you choose either 1 or 2 there will be people who will ask for the other option sooner or later. So maybe people didn't give your question the consideration you were expecting because the question in itself wasn't very relevant and/or the answer seemed pretty obvious. I just want to say, don't let yourself get discouraged over such a trivial matter.

Ops does sound bad doesn't it. Maybe it would psychologically make them post :ok:, or it would just back fire horribly :annoyed: . Regardless, ya this question was kind of stupid. We'll just leave it at that.

That's is very true, well I guess we can all agree to choose option 3 then. Like you said this was kind of pointless, as the answer was kind of obvious. I think I'll just stick to asking programming/eventing questions.
