Marked 197 Report post Posted March 28, 2013 Sick of green? I've just got through creating a colour changer for the site. You can now chose between red and blue. To do so, there's a cheeky little cog at the top-right of the site. This is where numerous other customization features for the layout shall be found, once they are created of course. I've had this idea of attaching cogs to things that are customizable around RMU. I really wanted to the site to be customizable and various options available to suit your style and change things up once in a while. But we'll see. You may also notice an extra part to the footer Just for the lulz, playing around with things Oh and I'll probably create options for custom layout width too for you larger-screened folks. :thumbsup: Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The colored ones are rather bright... perhaps too much of the main color. I think the grey/blue is best... perhaps it should be the default colour for our guests? The cog isn't loading for me as the page takes forever to load when I view topics, it stops before the cog is loaded. So go to index or another page and you should see it. You should add a background changer I'm planning to :) The location isn't so simple... I could put it in the top bar. It wouldn't have happened if you didn't request it ;) I'm not sure what you mean by era but the path we're heading down was always the plan I had for GDU. GDU->RMU was a mere rebranding of course. I could turn things back in an instant, it's just really unfortunate how the site lost its regular members over the christmas period. Maybe they'd come back? Ah yes, I have been saving this for years. We've just hit 20,000 members. Less than half are worth emailing but it will still bring in a lot of traffic to the site. The more emails we send the less likely a person is to click into it, the more likely that email will go to the spam folder, etc. So I'm saving it. They key is timing. I have a lot of tidying up to do (the count is now at 637 topics to sort out, which btw is there for you guys to see the progress). We have to be certain that for a bulk email we can get as many people as possible to stay - and there's lots I need to do before then. I could however bulk email members with over x number of posts.
