Aveyond uses a complex set of scripts to get what you're looking for.

 

They use a Mouse script, custom menu scripts along with a home made battle script which are all integrated. After taking a look at it, It would take a lot of effort to make what they have, even if it's just for the clickable hud.

 

I haven't see one like this outside of the Aveyond games, and after looking I can't find a script for anything like it either.

You can try checking out mouse scripts and see how they work, maybe you can set parameters on Scene_Map so that when the mouse is over that area and you click it enters the menu. It'll be hard tho, take a lot of scripting to get it down.

I've talked about it with them, and they told me that it's not possible to rip off the script itself from the Aveyond scripts. So, I guess you'll have to make your own script.
