Marked 197 Report post Posted May 25, 2013 You coulda just posted the link to the free one: http://resources.rpgmakerweb.com/music-launch/clkn/https/s3.amazonaws.com/prodcartassets/29305/kairi-blodeuyns-rpg-maker-xp-remixes.zip I personally don't support this at all, I also got the email but I'm not going to help those idiots earn money, even though technically I probably do given the links on the engines pages, but that's not for them. It's wrong to make money off these types of game makers, I guess its fine for commerical game makers but then you see them advertising Ace as "even a child can use it". We need artists, composers etc. to upload their works for free to ensure that these guy aren't making money off of people who are making games out of their own passion. dolarmak 23 Report post Posted May 25, 2013 They are defiantly targeting the wrong people like you said. We who make games for the fun of making games can't afford to buy these songs. Now if you're making a commercial game you have funding and backing to do this and are legally bound to pay for your content since you'll be making a profit off them. This is why I much prefer communities like OCRemix and Newgrounds for getting my music. You just ask the author if they mind you using their music in a game, 99% of the time they are more than willing to let you as long as you give them the credit they deserve. Marked 197 Report post Posted May 25, 2013 There's also http://www.sakari-infinity.net/ This site has been around for ages, used to be pretty popular back in the day with RPG Maker users. I think coz .NET/.ORG used to link there. But apparently you can only use them for non-commercial, which is fine for most of us.
