RMXP Unlimited has been restored once more. I cant even remember how many times we have had to make these kind of posts. We are now not associated with Noob Saibot, who has given up on the forum, understandably. The activeness had dropped considerably. We must apologize for the inconsistency of the forum, with it constantly being down, and the URL constantly changing. It is no surprise that we are down to as few active members as we are. With that said, I expect all this to change.

 

The forums have been updated, as well as a cleared database of all unessential data and modifications. I hope to restore most of these modifications however, a long with a few others. The skin has had a major update. The forum can be moved anywhere and every thing would work perfectly. This has absolutely no effect on the members, but it makes the forum a lot easy to manage. A lot of the Menu links do not work, as this is a fresh installation of IPB. But the essentials are there.

 

With the old url not working, we can not direct any traffic here, or from google, so this is pretty much a complete restart of the forums. But its not as bad as it sounds. Our most active members are here, and we can only grow from here. There is a lot to look forward to. I have come back as Admin, and will work alongside SCMike on RMXP Unlimited. All other staff positions have been removed, as they are inactive. All past staff can PM me or SCMike if they would like there old staff position back.

 

I have some new plans for the future of the forum, including a new name and RPG Maker VX section. The new name is due to the release of RPG Maker VX. With RMXP being associated with RPG Maker XP, it may to change to something similar to RM Unlimited, as we will expand to more than one RPG Maker. These are just a few things to look forward to, for the rest you will have to wait.

 

I will be away with exams, and I expect SCMike to busy for a while. So not much is going to happen for a while. I expect some new changes to take effect in December, but nothing until then. It will take a while to restore activeness, so bare with us while we do our best. Feel free to post any suggestions and welcome back.

I apologize for that. I will try to be active, but my parents have cut down the time I can be on here a lot with recent problems I have run into...Also, I'd like to point out: If you get a white page after you post something, please do not hit back and then post it again. 9 times out of ten your post or topic has been posted. Please jump back all the way to either the topic or forum listing (depending on which your doing) and hit refresh to make sure your topic/post didn't post already. If it didn't, then you can hit forward and re-post.

Mods to be installed are the Arcade, Casino and Chatroom but these arnt too important. I have also fixed all the images for the skin, and a lot of bugs with profiles and the messenger and about 1000 other things, and there are about 1500 new avatars in the Avatar gallery. Which should make any future avatar contests a bit easier. There's also two new menu links under "Main" which are Staff are Usergroups. The Member Map is back under "Community" as well. Im not finished the Usergroups page, there is a lot of information to add yet. But all the colours, icons and promotion details are there. I am going to convert all of the menu icons to .gif will that greenish background(They appear with a white background in IE), which means they will look good in both firefox and IE, and load super fast. I also fixed the IPS error with the Custom profile fields, and added some new ones. Even got some VX options now which will be useful for the future.

Although I think i could be a decent Mod, I will have to turn it down, because I have been rather busy as of late. Been working on a couple new scripts, a couple games, and schoolwork.

Fair enough, I'll settle for you being active at least.... I thought you had disappeared. Well at the moment, there is no need for a Moderator, not at least until activity is restored. All but SCMike lost the staff positions, including noob saibot, who i dont think knows about this forum.

Yeah. I have sent out a bulk email to all of the members, so they will now be able to find the forum. We need to get indexed by google again as well.

 

I am pretty sure there wont be anymore issues. I have setup many redirect scripts to go here, and even if the url changes again, i can redirect to that url, unlike with our last one which has lost all of our traffic. The security is pretty good to. I get a backup of the database sent to three email addresses and backed up locally every day. It would take quite a lot to get rid of us this time.

 

I forgot to mention, there are now subscriptions available. Originally I was not going to have any subscriptions, but Lammorra wanted to purchase a subscription, so is our first subscriber.

The forum has actually been up for half a month, but we lost all our traffic and search engine ranks so no one has been able to get here. Although I have sent out a bulk email. You still have Academy Teacher permission settings, and it would be great if you could start lessons again. Also, I added an Event Systems Category in the Downloads Manger. So you can upload your eventing systems there.
