D4rkWolf 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2013 Hey, new here to the world of 'forums' so not too sure of I'm doing things right but hey XD My name is Alexander Jacob, or D4rkWolf as I am more commonly known among personal friends, gaming friends and 'work' friends. I am 20 years old and I've been using RMXP (and a little RMVX) for about.. 9 years now? Always been messing about on it but over all that time I've learnt quite well how to map, event and a wide understanding of RMXP itself. I've only recently in the last year started to get my head around RUBY code but still not good enough to do all the coding needed for the game me and my friends have in mind. I am Ivan, but they call me Salty, I'm the local pervert. A guy of a thousand ideas, my expertise involves design, playtesting, writing and eventing, so for any of those you can come to me. Other not-so-expert skills are mapping, and scripting, mostly able to fix other people's mistakes but avoiding to work from scratch. And my low skills would be drawing and composing, so nothing worth mentioning there. What made you join a forum? Especially now that the golden age of forums has passed. I take it your don't have projects that made it to a playable demo stage. I'd say it's about time you do that. There aren't many newbies around, so it hasn't started yet, but I have planned a training project, where newcommers can prove or hone their skills. You and your friends are welcomed to join, check out my signature for a link to the topic. I'm curious what exactly is this idea you and your friends have, and what sort of scripts it would require? D4rkWolf 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2013 Well I am going to be posting up the project which we are currently working on very soon so that might be able to explain things a bit more, yeh we are looking for people but also getting involved in the community is what I wanna do too :) Always loved the gaming community revolving around RPG makers but I've just never got around to actually being a part of it all yet. We are not really that new to making stuff on RMXP but we are new to setting up a project and actually asking for others to join. I've dabbed and helped others on things like unity, source, eclipse, RMXP, RMVX, and game maker but I've yet to have time to setup a project, which is why we are trying to take advantage of the time we have now. I started usin' in 2005, oh where the time has gone... Amazing you only just got to the RMXP forums. You missed out on some great times. It didn't used to be this. The situation right now in the RM community is similar to that of Avatar... with the fire nation (guess who) taking over (I never really watched avatar but i heard those fire nation doods were dicks).
