User Class Titles

Recommended Posts

I'm go ahead and guess and say that everyone here has probable forgotten this thread: http://www.gdunlimited.net/forums/topic/9527-designing-awards/

Anyways I have half of what I was trying to do, the trophies will have to wait as I don't have an ideal on the look. So this was my ideal for the site:

Where the avatars are, I was thinking Marked if we could have something like this under Member status bar. Then you can place awards people have earned under the post counter. Clicking on a trophy would send you to the persons award page. Also in the settings people can change what looks like from here:

1) RPG Maker User

RPG%20Maker%20XP%20User.png

RPG%20Maker%20VX%20User.png

RPG%20Maker%20VXAce%20User.png

2) Class Titles

RMU%20Eventer.png

RMU%20Graphic%20Artist.png

RMU%20Mapper.png

RMU%20Programer.png

RMU%20Writer.png

So do you like the ideal, this should add some more flavor or not it's up you. Only took like 15 minutes anyways.

This is exactly what I tried doing before... when I wasn't such a good web dev (which is recently!).

I can actually have this up in minutes, but no, I have an essay due in 2 days  If you remind me on Friday evening (it's currently 6pm Wednesay my time, compare with timestamp in post) then I'll get straight on it

Sounds good to me. I like this idea, but maybe you could get the banners to match the forums style a bit more

True, I realized it after I finished that it doesn't really match that much and just went ahead and said fuck it. I'll see what the forum thinks first.

I'll do the graphics... I want to have a colour-coded theme going on the site; Each engine has its own associated color.

You want the photoshop file I was using or you going to start from scratch.?

I didn't forget to remind you :huh2: , you said remind you on Friday and today is Friday. I just go back on the site. You have to remember I live in Virginia, U.S.A, while you live in New Zealand ;) . Your like 15 hours or something ahead of me. So I guess this is you're reminder.

Dood, I don't want point fingers but I'm point it at you. I had one spare friday evening to do this, and... you let me down. But that's ok coz we're still doing this. When I get time. I actually don't forget these topics, it's always in the back of my head.

Mark, Saturday afternoon for you is Friday evening for the rest of the world, so I 'm really not surprised there was confusion.

Ok but technically, technically, I gave an express instruction of a very specific time.

@Ark: Dood, I have 3.25 days to memorize 170 pages for a 3 hour exam. Aint no got time for this, unless it was on the aforementioned Friday evening.

I

Thought blender was a 3d modeling/animation program?

It has a built in game engine. Which uses python as it's scripting language. It does require being familiar with blender however.

It also has a space on the feature page.

Dude I saw that, and I don't like it. I'm good with having engine badge type things like that, but not for class titles. They're waay less important and it's bloat the sidebar and make it look ugly. I will add in a text version, but as far as doing it like I've got for the engines, I don't think it's going work well. Engines are good, they link to the engine pages we have and its good promotion for other engines (once we get more going). The engine pages are quite popular, get decent hits. I want to have more engines to open people up to new ways to make games.
