Loading RPG Maker XP problem

Ok I am obviously new but my problem's not in the contents so maybe someone may be able to help.

 

I loaded the Rpg maker XP and everytime I go to open the program it says "Failed to obtain a trial serial sumber from the nTitles server", am I doing something wrong or do I need to look deeper into the folder?

I think i have experienced this problem only once, and it was because I was not on the internet. Make sure you are connected to the internet when you run RPG Maker. I think this is how it checks how much of the trial you have used it for.

I had this exact same problem, however my solution wasn't fixing my internet as it wasn't broken...

 

 

I'm not sure how you run a file as administrator in anything aside from Windows Vista (it has been too long since I used anything else). If you are using Vista then right click on the RPG Maker XP exe and say "Run as administrator". If you are using a different operating system then I suggest going to google and googling how to run a file as administrator.

 

Note:

Just because your windows account is an administrator account it doesn't mean that the exe's that you run are being run as an administrator.

 

If this doesn't work then get back to me and I will suggest a few other things.

Do you mean the editor or the player? if its the editor it could be the shortcut. I dont know if its rmxp or my computer but for me, shortcut somtimes don't work with rmxp. try going to the original startup icon

I am having trouble with a well known problem. ''Cannot obtain trail serial from nTitles server.???

 

I have tried everything I can think of. I have added it to my allowed programs in my firewall, ran it as administrator ( i have vista by the way),

set the compatability for windows xp, I even tried setting it to windows 2000 and nothing......still the same thing. I thought maybe if I download a torrent and it'll be packed.....still nothing?????? I was just starting to get the feel for the basic variations..... damn

I was going to download Postility nights version, but i read that there is something wrong with the RGSS.... I havent a clue........

I plan on buying it in the near future....... but for now i need this!!!!
