A Game About GMO's.
Yeah, doesn't get more basic than this, huh?The story behind this little project is that we had to make an advertisement for GMO's. We had to speak from a certain perspective, which in this case is the plants, then we had to choose our audience which I chose to be in the direction of the consumers. Thirdly, and here's how this game came to be, 'format'. Lastly, and unrelated to the next paragraph, the argument. Were we pro gmo, or against it? (I picked pro GMO)
A high school project that gives me the ability to choose my format, aside from the typical font 12, Times New Roman, double spaced essay, with page numbers? Definitely a welcome change of pace! Some of our options ranged from billboard, twitter account.. etc. Course, it's high school project, I didn't even have doing a video game in my mindset.
And the moment I was called on to explain what I'd be doing for my project, one of my peers yelled out..
"VIDEO GAME!"
… well, I could use the practice..
"What he said."
Yup, I agreed to it. That's quite a way to dig my grave for my high school social life. But hey, I've kinda accepted the fact I'm six feet under, already. Let's go for seven!
So, here I present to you, "A Game About GMO's"!
(This game requires RPG Maker XP's RTP. Download below.)

I particularly don't find anything wrong with GMO's. This game was pretty cool and entertaining. Well done! What did you get as a grade? Did your class enjoy the presentation?

I hope you don't mind, but I replaced your link with a semi-direct download link to the RTP, which avoids RPG Maker Web trying to steal email addresses.

I agree. I think GMO's have a good purpose. I haven't received a grade yet, and I think the class enjoyed the presentation. The sound barrier broke with "YEAAAAH", and claps, when the project was finished, so my guess is either they were okay with it, or I'm getting laughed at. :annoyed:

I hope one of my teachers later on will allow me to do this as a project!
I personally don't get the whole anti-GMO thing, but we'll see how it all plays out later on. Maybe they're good, or maybe they're bad…
