Prophet Sword
Prophet Sword takes place a unique world. Yes, the same principles apply to most standard RPGs, a magic bar, Health points, mashing enough baddies till you reach the right level to take down that big baddie of a boss.Features
Prophet Sword has a unique system called "Aura", and it's governed by what area you are in. Aura draws life from nearby trees, and plants, and then is returned to them, if not exerted to absurd lengths. This is great for those who live in Ruina, Aroni, and pretty much anyone who lives in forests, wooded area, or even, plains. Those areas can also draw a good amount of aura in, but then, there's deserts, and wastelands, places with little to no life.People who dare to live in those places will find life extremely difficult, with the lack of aura, and what is worse, monsters seem to have a consistently good aura flow, regardless of where they are, making deserts uninhabitable. This is a serious detriment to your journey, and what you're trying to accomplish, but thankfully hope is not lost, with the help of potted plants, you can use your aura abilities.
And for what costs you need to make, and what powerful foes you will face, you will need aura.

- So, Prophet Sword is a game that gets changed alot to its final product. Characters, story, etc. So, the current demo is underwhelming. It's also quite short in it's current state.. So, I've decided to work on releasing a new demo. It'll be out this Wednesday, and the features include: – New mode where you have full access to all party members, and Aroni's quest mechanic – Updated Intro with more challenge. – Added Feral Aura (Exclusive ability to Dusty, and fourth ally.) – The Forth ally can be met in the demo, but not playable. Hopefully by the end of Wednesday, this will be available! This project is still going on, trust me, but there's a reason for it. Prophet Sword's key features have been displayed, there's nothing left to showcase. All thats left now is to finish the game. Of course, this game highly transitions its story for quality purposes. I want to take my time with Prophet Sword, because I don't want to let people down. 4 years into its making, and I want to get this game done, as much as you want to play it. which.. is highly questionable.. I know its an RPG Maker game, but I'm putting time into it, trust me. I /may/ have a new video out soon, but, I can't make any promises.Hi there! Its been awhile..! I've been busy lately, but I have been working on Prophet Sword, and I assure you, progress has been steady. We're almost done, but I can confirm that the game needs a ton of polish before I distribute it, so May 5th is a no go at the moment. I won't leave you guys empty handed. Here's some Prophet Sword art I drafted in class.. … and yes, I don't actually do my schoolwork.. (joking of course.)Sorry for being away for so long. I've been hammering down on making sure Prophet Sword is bug free, and finishing up the storyline. I have nothing to show currently, as everything I've finished is spoilers, so here's the changelog of non spoilers: – Abachi now has a reasonable amount of Aura, some abilities, and a overdrive attack, that he obtains late game. Blank Magic has been Re added. – A secret ally is currently being worked on, and I hope you enjoy it. They'll give you a sense of presence in the Prophet Sword universe. – Allies can no longer be renamed through initially having them join your party, a name changer has been introduced, and will be in every inn. Finally back in the fray. Sorry about that. Teenage angst and all don't help when you wanna be a game designer. Anyway, I'm back again, and I'm fine. Thanks for all the kind words. So you must want some updates? Well first off, I'm extending the intro, allowing for more development of the 2 protagonists, giving some tutorial elements, and introducing a few new gameplay mechanics to add something else aside from the Turn based RPG. I'm aiming for a more interactive environment, rather than just Point A -> Point B. I have yet to gain any screenshots or videos of this, but they'll be on the way soon. I hope you'll continue to follow the development of Prophet Sword! Stay tuned for more news!I don't know why but lately, this game has become a huge burden for me. It's taking a toll on productivity as well as me. I don't think I can currently work on this game right now, so I plan to take a break. I need to clear my mind as I've been working almost sixteen hours a day on Prophet Sword for almost three years. I won't be gone for long though. I'll resume work on 1/8/15. I'll still be active on the forums, but I need a break. Since I'm really the only one designing this game, I need to clear my mind at some point. If you haven't already try the demo and, please, tell me what you think. I apologize, but it's just that i need to stop pushing forward, and begin thinking a little bit about myself.MONTHLY UPDATE: NOTE: There's a lot more in the game, this boss however, is an example of what you can expect from most bosses. Now look, not to brag… but I can be PRETTY crafty with battle events, and add a sense of urgency to the battles. This is one of those examples. I'll TRY to make every boss have a unique twist to them.Hey guys look, campfires! Pretty neat huh? … Okay, all they do is heal you, and your party, once, and then cannot be used for the rest of the game. However these aren't scattered around the map. There's one per dungeon, meaning you aren't going to grind, then go back to a campfire and repeat. Use an Inn, or a shop healer, cheapskate! Whats the difference between a shop healer and a Inn? Glad you asked! … I don't know if you asked or not, just go with it…. Alright, on a more serious note, Inn's will occasionally be tied to a quest, like you have to meet someone in a room, or act as a bystander for- (whoops, Chris, don't spoil the quests yet…), while shop healers are the best method of healing in a hurry, and have no effect on quests. Alright, now down to where […]School has hit me harder than puberty hit SammyClassicSonicFan. I'm trying to work on Prophet Sword the best I can, but it's been so hard trying to make a well structured story/atmosphere. I refuse to add any people to help me with my game. I plan to do this independently, and will ALWAYS do this independently. I have a reason for doing this, but right now, please bear with me. I have no new updates for Prophet Sword, count that it's going to be this way for a good while. If you have any questions, slide them over to ask.fm/DustyZiroto
