Riiiiight. I was thinking about building in a critque system into the comments, like really rewiring the comments here which don't work too well. In actual fact, each game should be like an entire board itself where conversations are split into topics. I'm yet to come up with how that works in practice! But it'd be cool, ae?
Your game has 2 downloads. I think you gotta start thinking about marketing the page 🙂
Hey, Sorry it's taken me a while to get around to giving this a play through – offline commitments being rather time consuming at the moment! I've found a couple of minor map issues and some event glitches/ambiguities. I noted them down while playing, and have tried to group them into some kind of order below. Overall, having added more NPC interactions adds interest to the game and gives more of a sense for what might ultimately be included.
– Can walk over streetlights – Can’t cross wood bridge by house – Can walk on top of oven, side table & games consoles in house – Some trees cut off by river/lake
– Intro tutorial not on auto-run – Clock positioned slightly oddly – maybe shift over to be in line with the corner of the window? – Job offered repeatedly – is it supposed to be a one-off employment each time or a kind of permanent job?
– Choice re: sleep or not would be helpful – Helpful if buildings in port had messages when touch door (even if just “not built yet”) so that know when playing if anything should happen – Quest – currently can’t get into the weapon’s shop in the port? Not sure if just in-game timing or actually can’t complete.
Maybe I'm just dumb, but the whole point of the game seems to elude me. I keep wandering around and wondering what I'm supposed to do. Switches are a little trippy as well, when I exited the shop without buying anything (and I assume I was supposed to buy one of those books) and came back to try and buy it, the guy told me I already had a copy.
But yeah–I'm not getting much of a sense of purpose or anything, and since I lacked that it was difficult for me to want to continue trying to play the game.
