  1. Here are some of mine. :) A demo version of the game has finally been released. Some menus:
  2. Haven't been here in ages. But I finally released a demo of my game.

  3. Not dead yet, Kiriashi. I'm back after a veeeery long hiatus, and I bring excellent news, as well as some new screenshots. :D Sorry for my absence, but I was busy on the fan-site where my game is hosted. I assure you that I am extremely dedicated to this project and will never abandon it. @Cabbie: Yeah, this game is waaaay better than the 1993 original Phantasy Star 4, all because I changed the protogonist. ^^ You're not the only one who has told me my game could give Sega a run for their money. There is finally a demo available for release! I'll add it to the first post of this topic. NEW SCREENS for demo:
  4. @gizmo: She's smirking, that's why. ^^ Love that expression of hers. I know I'm not very active over here, but I assure you, I am 110% dedicated to this project. This thread will never die as long as I give you guys constant updates. The fansite is keeping me real busy. If you guys are really interested in this project, you can visit this link as well. http://www.psalgo.com/boards/phantasy-star-banl-5-party-member-avaliability-vt3638.html There's a ton of updates going over there. You can see by my number of posts that that is my most active site. ^^ Of course, it will also introduce you to the lesser known Phantasy Star RPG series, and why I prefer it over Final Fantasy. I'm only referring to the classic games, of course. I hate the new ones like Universe and Zero. You can also view some gameplay vids over there. Updates: - I'm working with a very accomplished musician to make a full custom soundtrack for my game. So no music rips from other games, it is specially composed for my game. He volunteered to do it for me. - I'm in the process of redrawing all the cutscenes. The airbrushing wasn't as good as I'd hoped it to be, so I'm using a simpler, more distinctive graphical style. An example of a reworked cutscene. Letter by letter display now. -Menu designs have been reworked as well. So, that's it for now. Because of recent developments, I can't guarantee a release date anytime soon.
  5. Hey there everyone. This project is not dead yet! Updates: -Removed the Mode7 script. It was causing too much lag. -Added a new main menu that supports up to 8 party members, though I only use 5. -Battle system can support up to 5 party members now! -Reworked all the maps. -2 more party members become playable, bringing the total to 7. -Gameplay time has been extended to around 6-8 hours. Updated screen shots. New main menu. One of the many mini scenes in the game. Hope you guys like the new screens. :D
  6. Some more sprites for you guys! :D Took me about 1.5 to 2 hours each. >< And my eyes... let's not even go there. Working at 1500% really does nasty things to the optics. Still got a ton more to do... I was actually inspired by FF6 to make animated sprites in my cutscenes as well. Here's one of Alys contemplating, twirling her sword as she does so. I love this one as well. :haha: She's an awesome character. Hope you guys like them.
  7. Hello everyone, sorry for my recent severe inactivity on this site. I just want you all to know that my project is still up and running smoothly. I have a beta tester and a new artist on board now, so hopefully it should make life a little bit easier for me. :) With regards to the new demo that is being released in June, here are some new updates. -Overworld now uses the Mode7 script. -Complete overhaul of soundtrack. The music is so good, you might just want to hit F12 to pause and listen to it. -Brand new spritesets that I did myself. No more chibi RTP sprites! -Battle system has still basically remained the same. I'm just waiting for an add-on, but it's taking forever... :( New screen shots. The drought-ridden farming village of Mile. I love this area... Mode7 in action. The university town of Piata. Alys' idiot partner has now wandered off... Oh, and can anyone give some feedback? General impressions, characters, story, battle-sytem etc.? @Agckuu: As for FPLE, I sent MGC a pm on how to implement treasure chests and stairwells, and he was still working on it. So this script won't be used until perhaps even the final release... Btw, do you think you could lend me a helping hand for that battle script? You know what one I'm using, and I posted a similar reply under Atoa's CBS at rmvxp.com, but he's taking so long with it. Could you help me? Please?
  8. Thank you for the comment. ^^

  9. Sagittarians! By the way, I downloaded your game. Very impressive. Good job.

  10. That problem has already been resolved. Was a pain to do, but all doors open properly now. Quick update: I have successfully managed to emulate the First-Person dungeon effect. The screen just needs a little bit of prettying up (like making it darker and such). In battle testing. I'm finally able to create psuedo-3d dungeon battlebacks. :D The battlers appear blurred against the hi-res backdrop because they've be anti-aliased. But I don't intend to use this battleback in my game, so it's cool. :biggrin_002: I'm actually using this image below for a battleback, so the resolutions won't clash so badly. Hope you guys like it as much as I do. Credit goes to a guy known as MGC ( the same dude that brought us the Mode7 script). His script can be found at rmvxp.com. Thanks for the comment, den. :)
  11. Haha, cool, another Sagittarian. :D

  12. You are two days older than me. Just thought I'd let you know.

  13. Here are mine. :D Some of Mack's tilesets are used here. Battles use psudeo-3d battlebacks. It's just a tester (both characters are at lvl 40) and I'm using a FPLE (First Person Labyrinth Explorer) script for my dungeons. First Person view in a dungeon.
  14. No reviews yet.... :( I'm hurt. .... ...... :P Just kidding. I'm just asking for some feedback, that's all.
  15. Yes, happy birthday, Valdred. Sorry about the late b'day wish. Hope you had a great day. :D
