Thank you for all the requests! Tomo! Yours looks very doable, and I should be able to accommodate O'connor without a problem. I was thinking about using a harp with the first one, so I can definitely change things up a bit. Lastly, Ackuu, I don't usually have much luck with guitar OR drums but I'm happy to try. I'm going to be up all night switching my sleep schedule so I should get something done today. (Got to wake up at 5am for a polygraph test for the police cadet program in about a week.)

I don't think I could get that sort of sound to come out of any of my programs. I usually have to write from scratch. I'm not saying it isn't possible, but I don't really know much about music. I only know how to make original stuff on what I use, I don't play instruments or have a good foundation is music theory. I've never taken classes or anything like that.

[status update] -sorry for the double post- I'm having a lot of trouble with O'Connor's map theme so I'm taking a break to work on Mikey's. And Leon, as much as I would love to help you out, I can't make myself do Jimmy Buffet. It's a long story as to why, but that specific song burns into my ears like a hot iron and working with it would drive me to the edge of insanity. I have a lot of bad memories associated with it. Also, I don't know anything about MIDI.

I just saw it at the top. Anyway, Andrea Yates managed to get off on insanity for killing all of her children, so instead of life in prison she gets put into a mental hospital. They're supposed to keep her there until she is "no longer insane." Don't worry though, they'll never release her. I imagine she's being drugged up on Haldol and antidepressants as well as other powerful psychotropic drugs.

I'd be interested in learning what sort of mental illnesses her family was suffering from. This case reminds me of Andrea Yates (Christian mother who drowned her children to "save them from hell") and Susan Still (Her son videotaped her being beaten by her husband.) I'm applying to be a police cadet and have been taking some criminology classes where we've learned about what causes this sort of behavior. Unfortunately, it happens, and there is a very fine line that determines whether the offenders are killed, jailed, or drugged for their crimes.

So you disagree with separation of church and state even though this country was founded by people fleeing from religious persecution? Do you believe that people from non christian -or even non monotheistic religions- should be allowed equal societal sway as Christians? Personally, I'm an Atheist, and I believe that religious laws should stay in the home. My view is that our country is built around freedom, first and foremost, and just so happens to be home to a large population of Christians. I would also like to know what your views on pornography and sexually explicit media are, since our majority christian society seems to have a heavy addiction to these things. (Not trying to derail the topic, just asking.)
