Honestly, I haven't been impressed with final fantasy lately. I played through most of 12, but that's about it besides beating 7 and 8.

I loved the shivering isles expansion a lot. I really wish I had a decent PC so I could mod it, but alas.

I eat salmon and eggs with vegetables and Red Hot every single day. EVERY SINGLE DAY. Do I even like this dish? Sort of, but not really.

I know absolutely nothing about scripting and have had little luck in learning. I have a list of things I want to change in my RPG. Here it is: -Scripting needs- Custom main menu Character speech Battle system Inventory Morale bar I need to know where to start so I can work with scripting. A good general tutorial would be good. Something that assumes that I am both completely new to programming and borderline retarded would be preferred.

I had an idea today when I was thinking about an RPG i'm making. I wanted it to be very micro scale and character driven so I was trying to think of ways I could make the player more attuned to what the characters are going through. NOW I HAVE IT! The MORAL stat. Examples of how it would be used: Moral DOWN = Character walking through swamp, searches a corpse for loot, steals an item, fighting scary undead enemies etc. Moral UP = Character prays at alter, sleeps at an INN, eats/drinks etc. With this STAT the player would be forced to take care of the character they were controlling. They would have to make special stops at inns to rest, avoid graveyard, and do things that a real person would to keep morale up. I was thinking of it as a way to make the player care that their character was drudging through an endless swamp. We could make the morale STAT important by directly tying it to damage. A player with a morale of 0% would have their damage multiplied by .5 whereas a player with 100% morale would have their damage multiplied by 2! This would mean that a happy character would be worth four sad characters in battle. Just my attempt to add some depth to the RPG world

I'm not having any luck with these generators. I might just have to enlist some photoshoppers to help me.

I just end up running into a lot of trouble with the art and mechanics of the game. Story and plot comes easy to me. If I could just get better at mapping and building the game I think I would have something to work with. I'm hopeless as an artist though.

That sounds good. I've been meaning to do some writing about an idea I had. Writing a script seems really important before you jump into making the game.

I downloaded something to make sprites with and now I need something to make the battler graphics for my RPG. Do any of you have any suggestions? I'm not a visual artist by any means so it would have to involve selecting clothes to put on a model or something like that.

I'm doing an RPG where the main character is battling with PTSD and trying to come to terms with his own mortality. He never saves the world.

I think you would have to do that from the enemies tab in the database. You could have the boss recover MP after it went down to a certain amount. Otherwise I would just give the boss 99999 MP and spells that cost 1 MP to use. Or spells that don't use MP. I don't know.

Lol. I've never been called Der before, and I've used this screen name for years, I like the feel of paper and ink, but whiteboard is good too. I have one, but it's an an awkward place to reach.
