It was a great idea but it required time i just didnt have... but now I dont have football anymore (i quit the team... too much stress) so I can try to contribute again. Ill try to write up a review on the skari infinity site soon...

yeah, i would admit that dreamweaver is completely cheating but i started off in textpad and i learned it in that way... so i gained a genuine knowledge beofre i used shortcuts... cuz honestly, it jsut makes things way easier to deal with... i mean, i dont use the concept of the "Cheating" in it though. cuz i know what i should write and i do... its really helpful thouguh cuz of the spellcheck thing and the cleaness of the program... its a crap laod of help.

we all know its hard to move... we arent speaking to you in ignorance... most of us have already ahd to make major moves like that before... its not fun at first but trust me... your forums are soo ugly (sorry but they are) that it would be a wiser decision....

first of all, marked, dreamweaver does not write your CSS code for you... maybe it does if you dont code anything and jsut design like a drag "n drop thing but i dont... its way more fun and "fulfilling" if you do it on your own. and, dreamweaver is not free (unless you crack it... :( ) but im sure an old verion is cheap... i got mine for free since my friend didnt use it. so, i would seriously suggest getting it since youre already spending money, whats a few more bucks? also, once you know HTML pretty good, CSS jsut kidna works its way in... I was using just HTML for design once and it was bad... but once i added in the CSS, it was extremely easy... if you need help with HTML or CSS, i can write a couple of tuts for you. btw, i started designing websites in notepad... yep, im teh pwnz... but that was a long time ago...

books on web design dont help too much... its more of a hands-on kind of thing... you jsut end up elarning one day... the best way to do so is jsut read a couple of tuts on HTML then get dreamweaver. dreamweaver basically teaches while you design. I learned CSS by writing it. it sounds frustrating but its quite easy.

I woul d just suggest moving... it would be the most logical and best decision... but if youre really stubborn, do this instead: do not hide the forums change the colors get new images (like a new banner and buttons and cell bg's) and, if youw ant a home page, do not use a template from webs... it would be to youre great bennefit to learn HTML and CSS...

youre not gonna like this so, if your'e not into hars yet constructive criticism, ignore this post... anyways, i really really really would never sign up there. whatever kind of forums youve set up, dont use them ever again. there are way better ones like phpBB, SMF, I.P Board, and maybe a couple more. never use these generic looking ones. barely ever do you see a site with a lot of members taht looks the way yours does. The banner is kinda wierd and the text on it is kidna small and "thin." I would completely remove your site and move it somewhere else. now, if you really need help doing so, im pretty good with graphics and web design... oh and also, i would suggest getting an actual site like an index page, about us, contanct and all that. i could help a little with HTML and CSS but if you ened php coding, youll have to ask around. so, dont think of me as mean but as someone trying to help. -Chief

Well, I hope pirate doesnt care too much cuz im kinda giving info away but, here it is: Pirate is working on the new version of scrive and is scheduled to come out sometime this week! anywyas, he has put me in charge of making some new graphics for scrive. so, I still have the new buttons to do (cuz i dont like the ones i jsut made) but it has a new splash screen and backgrounds that are slightly better. so, ill just show you guys the splash screen and maybe ill show you the buttons once im done with them.

yeah... i dunno why the images arent loading... they are for me.. anyways, im gonna upload them onto photobucket once i can.

Okay, just sit tight and follow the instructions. keep in mind though that you do not have to follow them exactly as to waht they say. art should be self-made. I'm jsut helping the process. STEP ONE: create a square document. I made mine 500px by 500px. Spoiler STEP TWO: next, create a new layer and make a rectangle. select two colors and fill in the rectangle with a gradient. Spoiler STEP THREE: Use the liquify option to create indents in the rectangle. Spoiler STEP FOUR: Create two new layers and make rectangles on them like in the image below. then, fill them in with gradients and shave off a bit to make them a bit slanted. Spoiler STEP FIVE: Use the water-paper filter to get a nice paper-ish effect. Spoiler STEP SIX: Use the lasso tool to create "cuts" into the paper. Spoiler STEP SEVEN: Use the Burn tool to create a burnt / old look. Spoiler STEP EIGHT: Create a shadow-like dark spot under the top roll in the scroll. Spoiler STEP NINE: go to the hue/saturation option and change the saturation to -40. Spoiler (optional) STEP TEN: Burn the image more to give it even more of a burnt look. Spoiler STEP ELEVEN: If you did step 10, you may want to desaturate it again. Then, find some cool grunge or letter brushes and add them in... but make sure they are set to "color burn" Spoiler STEP TWELVE: go to layer styles and add an outer glow. wow, its been a while since my last visit here... i do plan on getting active again also too. anyways, ive been using GIMP since forever and i had photoshop sitting off to the side. im trying to get rid of GIMP and completely switch over to ps. here are the first two things ive tried to make: An Awesome Scroll Parchment Paper Thing its not that great but i know how to make better ones now: i think they bothe own. im also gonna take requests for these things.

of course i soo played a part in this all... im the one who first suggested the brighter colors, and i made the banner, and some of the post icons... i pwn. and i also helped start the new RMF competition... check it out at rpgmakersforum.com
