Hi. Two questions. The big (pardon the pun) question is how to reset the screen size to fullscreen in the game.ini(I guess) file so I can play fullscreen. I've usually seen an options menu in completed games. Possibly related, the "game" tab has "RTP-1, RTP-2, RTP-3" but options for "standard and none." What can we do with them?

Does anyone know how to make resources for Charactor Creator XP. Or does anyone know more about how to use it? The English version doesn't have a help file, and I've been stumbling around. I know you can make new, empty databases (I did it once, by mistake) but I don't know how. Some of the drawings work well (I've made a skin, and sandals) but some don't work at all. The same is true of Graphics Gale. Is there anywhere one can learn to REALLY use it well?

Hi. I'm pretty new to this, but why not just export something close to what you want, open it with a graphic editing program, then rename it and import it as a new charactor? I've even done this with MS Paint, but I'd suggest something else, anything else. There may be an easier way, but it works.

I've been watching this off and on for a while. Can hardly wait to try the demo, and if it's any goods at all, (and the reviews so far make it sound fantastic) I want to be right in line when the full release is ready (whatever it costs.) Phantasy Star III was my favorite game of all time, and I only had a short chance to try IV. From what I've seen so far, yours looks beter than Sega.

Hey, all you mappers out there, can anyone do this? (And if anyone has already, I'm sorry, but I've looked and looked, and haven't found it.) Now, I'm sure I'm not the only one to have noticed,but I was watching the light filtering through the trees one afternoon and I noticed how the leaves move back and forth from light to shadow, and realized that was what was missing from my forest maps. (That, and more bits of stuff littering the ground, not just the odd rock or stump, but that's a problem with the tilesets.) I've added the shade fog to my maps, and it helps a lot, but isn't quite right. (It's too regular, and looks more like shade moving,not light. I think a little graphic editing will fix the light/shade ratio.) It shouldn't travel across the screen, like clouds (shadows) across the field, but shake back and forth, somewhat randomly, (sometimes fast, sometimes not; sometimes with pauses between shakes.) Is there some way to get that effect? More to the point, is there some not too complicated way? I think it would add a lot to wooded areas, and I'm sure lots of us would use it. I've a couple of interior questions for later, but I'll keep searching for a while on those.

:shok: Has anyone else done this? and- Is there any way (other than to be careful) to avoid it? I just deleted the wrong map- and it took every map (and event, and countless hours of work) with it. I guess I still have my database, but all the mapping and eventing is gone(I guess.) I've done it before, but only with short tests, never the whole game.(Still, the point is to aquaint oneself with the functions, I'll get lot"s more practice. I'd just hate to do it again. I know with word processing documents you don't lose all saved data when you make a mistake. Do you have to save data in a separately named file to protect it?

Maybe it's just me, growing up in a world that didn't yet have pocket calculators, but then again maybe it's not. You see, I'm not even really sure this is the right place to post this, but it seems logical. Perhaps someone could consider writing a short "forum" tutorial. I'm trying to get around here, but it seems I keep doing things wrong. I've read the "about us" and "rules" sections a few times, but they don't really get to the core- how do you use a site like this? Not just what do all the buttons do, and how does one find one's way around, but also what is the etiquette for communicating this way, when what one knows is face to face? As children we learn how to behave in social situations from our parents, but how does one learn to behave in this situation? As I said, perhaps it doesn't apply to anyone who doesn't remember disco. Just a thought.

(There's not much else I gan do yntil I get my RMXP working again, anyway.) I'll check backand if you agree, I'll download your images and go to work. Two things, though. I don't quite understand your phrasing about picture around the other picture. Do you want the sprite sheet to look like the shetch? No problem, but do you also have a color scheme? He looks like Doctor Who from the seventies, minus the scarf.

Actually, I did buy it there. I got the e-mail with the product key but the original download didn't install, and the download site in the e-mail didn't have it. I've downloaded from here a few times, with the same problem. I've tried a few other downloads, I think the one that actually (finally) intalled was from CNet. Thanks, I haven't given up yet. What I mean to say is the five, five digit product key alphanumeric doesn't fit in the boxes provided. They are pre-configured to take four digit numbers, or four groups. Also, they are labeled "serial number" and "activation code"but not one labeled "product key" that will accept the number they sent me. I did find the serial number, and another code called "installation code" but no combination of codes produces a valid result. I've been e-mailing technical support and sales support, but there's been no reply, and I'm not sure they're even getting my e-mail (the site doesn't acknowledge reciept.) I know it's not supposed to be this hard- I've downloaded plenty of other software and games over the years. It sure does! Ive downloaded ver. 1.02 and 1.04. Today was the first time I saw 1.02a listed as such, so I don't know if I've also tried that. I'm pretty sure the one that actually installed on my computer is 1.04, from CNet, but I've installed (or tried,) uninstalled, downloaded and tried again that it's hard to be sure. I thought I was making real progress when I got to the "buy now/already paid" screen. IE is having a lot of trouble finding the links they keep sending me to. Maybe I'll try Opera.

Has anyone actually purchaced this lately? There are downloads (trial period) all over the place, but how do you buy it. Buy now leads to Protexis, and they are no help at all. You can buy from Enterbrain, I did last week, but they send you a product key that can't be entered. The already paid button leads you to a choice: enter activation code (not the product key,)generate by web (always leads to the cannot display message,) generate by phone (well there's the serial number, but there are no partners,) generate by fax (again, no partners.)I've used Enterbrain's tech support page, repeatedly, but no answer to any question. I'm not even sure they get the questions. So, my question is, has anyone bought this, within, say, a week? Hey, thanks for all the suggestions. I finally got my maker activated tonight. I found the edit button, I'm not sure I'm using it right though. I've no idea how to use the multi quote button, but I'll try to figure it out. Sorry about the multiple posts. By the way, Opera works great!

Help? I've looked oround this section and haven't seen anything like this so- My trial period is up now, and I didn't have any real problems. A few days ago I decided to buy the licence, but then: The obvious choice "Buy Now" or whatever variation it was didn't work. Protexis doesn't seem to support MXP sales anymore. Next obvious choice- I went to Enterbrain's site and purchaced it outright.(By the way, the price has dropped to just under $30. Small comfort if it doesn't work.) Got the e-mail with the key, but when I tried to open RXP I got the message 'could not find .NET framework. (No idea what that is.) Tried a couple more times with same result. No response from Enterbrain tech support. Tried to download the trial version from other sites (C net has the new price, and calls it version 1.04, but not the actual download.) When I try to run the program I get the message "fatal error E06D7363 at adress 7C812AFB" (I hate PCs. Does anyone else remember Amiga?) So I'm completely lost. Any ideas, anyone?
