  1. Hello everyone, I am now actively recruiting for my game, Syphon Dreams. Story: The land of Hath Malaar, a recently barren land awash with death and poverty. This has been brought about by the over overcrowding of the many towns and villages which marr the land. The higher powers of Hath Malaar have sent requests to bordering nations, Erth Gorin and Elinstall, but no aid or messages have been returned. Even the messengers recieved this odd fate. Now, due to dwindling numbers of guards due to a lack of funding, wild monsters have been sacking and pillaging the small outer villages. Kadrass - a town near one of the razed villages - is home to the Kadrass Academy, a training home for villagers and townsfolk whom have been found to have latent magical abilities. Amongst these few, is a young adept called Svakin. She was found when villagers returned to their pillaged homes, when a man by the name of Yoweth saw a limp body sticking out of some rubble. He found her to have the faintest of pulses, and immediately took the girl to Kadrass for healing. By the time they arrived, Svakin's life force had almost completely left her, and was given a small chance of survival. Against the circumstances, Svakin responded well to the healing. When questioned about why the monsters had left the village, she simply shrugged and told them they blew up with a light which came from her hands. Instantly realising what had happened, the mages took her to the academy to train her in the arts of magic. Svakin quickly became one of their top students, showcasing more power than some of Kadrass' most powerful mages. During her study, she met another girl called Methen. The two quickly became friends, and it was soon revealed that Methen was not only a white mage, but also a summoner, able to summon elemental spirits, called the Oricalos. As this power was very rare, and often dormant for centuries, Svakin and Methen vowed to protect each other. As such, they were often called out on missions together. When Svakin was 14, the Academy recieved word of an assault on Geren Malaar, the capital. Svakin and Methen assembled a group of mages to go with them to aid Geren Malaar's small army. Along the way, she comes across Yoweth, and finds out he has become one of the top swordsmen in the land. Yoweth agrees to go with them to Geren Malaar. On arrival, they find smoke rising from inside the stonghold walls. So the three of them and the mages run through the gates, and prepare to battle... Bios: Svakin Elridge Age: 14 Race: Human Hair colour: Brown Eye Colour: Brown Class: Mage Adept Svakin was saved from death when she was still just a small child. Saved by Yoweth, she was brought to Kadrass to be healed, and where she was found to have magical abilities. Svakin was trained ay Kadrass Academy, and that was also where she met Methen, and the two quickly became friends. Methen Coronella Age: 15 Race: Human Hair Colour: Blonde Eye Colour: Blue Class: Oricalos Summoner Methen was sent to Kadrass Academy by her mother after she almost burnt the house down by accidentally summoning the Oricalos con Æthis (Spirit of Fire). It was at Kadrass where she met Svakin, and the two were often put on missions together, and grew a strong bond of friendship. Yoweth Hewa Age: 32 Race: Human Hair Colour: Bald Eye Colour: Brown Class: Ronin Warrior Yoweth saved Svakin 9 years ago and has never forgotten about her. The two developed an almost fatherly-daughterly bond as Yoweth stayed by Svakin's side as she was being healed. However, he had to leave her due to her training at Kadrass. Yoweth reencountered Svakin as she travelled to Geren Malaar. More characters will be added as the story calls for them. Title: Game Over: Will post screenshots when they are ready. Scripts: CCoa's UMS Ryex's CBS (Needs to be modified to show a face graphic instead of character set picture) Tamkentai Side-view (with a turn counter like: Positions needed: (Need examples of your work) Graphic artist - Sprites, Face graphics, Battlers (and enemies) Graphic artist - Tilesets Graphic artist - Icons, Title/Game Over screen Composer - Title/Game Over BGM and Field music More positions will be needed later. Please just ask if you would like more information, or to apply for a position not mentioned, or something I have completely forgotten about. I would also be glad if somebody could make 3D animated cutscenes in Blender 3D. (Not a necessity - it would just look cool.) Midnite.
  2. No. Yoweth is a male, and there are probabaly going to be about 3-4 other male characters.
  3. Yea, give it a go...I'm not too good with that area of things. I'd actually like fully custom faces...facing right.
  4. Hi, as I want my first game to be a success, I thought I should get help from some of the best. :drool: The game is called Syphon Dreams. Story: Character Bios: I need graphic artists to create face images and battlers of each character (will add more later). I am likely to create cutscenes using Blender using 3D models (which I am still getting used to as I only just remembered I have it). Scripts: I plan on using Minkoff's battle system but with a window showing the whose turn it currently is, and the next five turns like so: I would also like a script which modifies the menu to this: and the status menu to this: As you can see in the menu, there is a area for "Beast Souls." I would like 6 little spiral cloud animations, each a different colour to appear in the six slots with activation by a switch. With the status menu, I would like it to be that characters can equip 1 weapon, and up to 4 accessories instead. of a shield, armour, helmet etc. If there is anything you need to know or I have forgotten, don't hesitate to ask.   10. I've beat FF13, the best thing about it are definitely the graphics. It's good that you can skip cutscenes in the game, and you often are never told you're objective, there is just a marker on a map telling you where to go.
  11. I am currently attempting to apply the TBS and isometric map addons... hope this works.
  12. Apparently GubiD knows how to make the map isometric. In the description of his TBS, it says it will work for ISO maps... Getting the script(s) which allows this...
  13. The problem with the 8-way movement is this: I have about 419 characters, all only with isometric directions. If you or somebody else is willing to create the sprites for the basic 4 directions I can upload them. The diagonal movement that Marked gave me previously will annoyingly cut out half the tiles as you cant move to a tile beside, above or below the player.
  14. Please elaborate, I don't quite understand what you mean by this.
  15. The problem with gubi D's program is it modifies the movement and the isometric shape is right, but these dont work when I copy them to another 'game'. I dont know which part of the script modifies the movement to that, because only then will I be able to use an isometric tile set. However, with what I have requested, I can use GIMP to modify the tileset to suit the isometric framing. A lot less work.
  16. Hi, I am in need of someone to write two scripts. The first to modify the map layout to this: The second to change the tile shape to this: I am sure this is possible, as I have seen it done in other RMXP games.

Hi all, I am looking for a script which allows the following three frame image: To be played as an animation for an enemy (as in the animation is the enemy) like this: Just thinking about it, it would look better if I could do the same thing with the player characters as well. All 419 of them... This would mean a modification on Minkoff's side view.

  21. Hello, I am in need of tilesets which are of a Digimon World style, and isometric. If you dont understand, the isometrics maps look like this: And digimon world theme looks like: Help will be much appreciated.
  22. Thats exactly what I need, but on testing, the right key uses the up graphic and the left key uses the down graphic. If that could be fixed, all I need is the tilesets to fit the movement. Scripts obtain the desired movement and tile effect are now in the first post, but I need to know what renders the map into the shape, the modification to the movement and if possible how to get it to render a standard tileset.
  23. Just to confirm, to go up-left, it will only use the up key, down-left will only use left key, down-right will only use the down key and up-right will only use the right key. As for the maps, I need them to be a similar style as this: A script which modifies the tileset to the isometric shape will be useful Still deciding on the free movement/pixel movement thing. I only want the diagonal directions if possible

Hi everyone, I need a script and tilesets for an isometric style game (think Final Fantasy Tactics advance) which work with charactersets like: I also need a script which incorporates this into the movement eg: up moves northwest, left moves southwest, down moves southeast, right moves northeast. I am sure these scripts exist out there somewhere and I have tried searching for them, but to no avail. Any help will be much appreciated. UPDATE: A RMVX demo called DrawIso Frame Modifies the parameters of a normal tileset to create the isometric feel.
