Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
EmilyAnnCoons replied to EmilyAnnCoons's topic in Stories and Literature
Comment for this chapter: So...Chapter 11. Well, here's the thing about this chapter...it is only about 10% my idea...I had 0 ideas for this chapter...so I just basically copied the manga, but I DID mix in the game as well...thus making it somewhat my own idea...because I did have to decide how to mix the two...but either way...it's not really my idea...I've considered going back and re-writing this chapter...but as of so far...I've had 0 ideas on how to do this chapter in any other way then shown here so...hopefully, even though it isn't really my own idea, you'll still enjoy it...though if you've read the manga...I think you only need to read the bottom section of this story...it's pretty near word for word with the manga -

Comment for this chapter: Well, this is the 10th chapter of 14. After this, you'll only have 4 more to go before the end. YAY! Anyway, this chapter features Bongo Bongo in a new way then ever before. Usually, he is just pictured as a large beast, and, truthfully, he still is. However, Bongo Bongo has never before had any real personality. This chapter, I add one. I allow him to speak, and you get to see what (in my mind) Bongo Bongo was really like. So, I hope you enjoy chapter 10, I know I had fun with this chapter. I mean...come on...how much fun can you NOT have by making Link go through all that invisible crap that is in the temple? It is just SO much fun to torment Link :D -

Comment for this chapter: So...after you all have gotten any crying and such out of your system from that last chapter (supposing youf ound it as emotional as me), it is time for the next one! If you did find it emotional, but are a "man" then I warn you...like Darunia said, it is okay to cry. Don't hold it in. I cried writing it...and I still can't read it without crying. So, please, don't be afraid to cry. Truthfully, being willing to cry makes you a man...or so I've been taught my whole life. Anyway, for this chapter, I did a lot of changes. Normally, Dark Link is pictured as the mini-boss, as he is that in the OoT game. However, in the manga, he is the Shadow Temple boss, who Link actually never fights in the Shadow Temple. In the manga, Dark Link is a beast that has been attacking the village for a while now. He can take the form of anyone he touches, and he touches Link. Well, I wanted to keep him in the Water Temple as I prefer him there, however, Morpha's battle would be too short to really do anything with, so, I combined the two into one room, as one boss. This made it more fun to write, and I got to do a bunch of cool stuff with it. So, here's the chapter that features Dark Link and Morpha in one big battle! -

Comment for this chapter: Yeah...as of this chapter, I am going to add little comments at the beginning here...I feel the need to add little tidbits of info for these next chapters. So, here's the comment for this chapter. This chapter took me a week to write, because I had to stop every so often due to how sad I PERSONALLY found it...I have to say, this is the most emotional chapter of any story I have ever wrote. I had to keep myself from crying to write the end of it...because I PERSONALLY found it that sad...Why, you ask, am I continually putting the word "personally" in caps? Because some of you may nto find this chapter sad...but to me...I cried throughout it...it, to me, was emotional...so, I hope you enjoy it, and maybe it will be just as emotional to you as it was to me. -
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

So, this is it. As you noticed from the last chapter, Link now has the Master Sword and is now an adult. The next following chapters now follow him as an adult and the story that occurs there, seven years later. These chapters, as explained in the first post, are 50% my idea, save for chapters 11, 12, and 14. I think I explained it in the first post, but I will explain why those aren't 50% my idea when I reach those chapters. So, onto the adult chapters now! -

Note: In the following chapter, a section is bolded. It is to show that it is a prophecy being told. This process will be repeated in the QFG series as well when I reach the Poet Omar, as well as any other story I make that has poems and/or prophecies told in them. -

This is my novelization of the Ocarina of Time game. Chapters 3 and 12 are 100% original ideas, and chapter 14 is 90% original. The rest are each about 50% original, with the exception of chapter 12, which is about 5% original (I used a combo of the manga and the game...cause I had no other ideas ><). I warn...these are each about 12 pages big in Mircosoft Word...so the chapters are long when you look at them on here...Note: I would probably rate this story as T for language, violence, and "suggestive themes".

ahh, yeah, either would also be cool to see...

hehe, well, I voted for the depths...I meant to click the inside organism...but i clicked wrong and didn't notice till I voted -shrugs- oh well...it was a pass up between the two anyway so...

Well, if you REALLY want me to change the rule, I can...but I dunno...I mean...this is how the CA one runs, too...so...

the topic says when it finishes...all votes in the poll must be done by February 25, and all entries must be in by March 20 (or something along those lines). Forum people will be able to vote, then, when that is over, another contest will have been voted on, and the next month's will start up (once the deadline hits, I will make an april contest, and people will be allowed to vote for april's tileset...and the process will continue like that.)

Yeah, but ending the series mid-series is something that really isn't cool...I mean, yeah, it shows the world goes on, even without us there to see it, but theirs won't, cause no anime of the series = no more world for that anime...so, in my case, I want the series to end, like Tokyo Mew Mew and Eureka seveN. Granted, Eureka seveN doesn't actually end, but it doesn't end with a "Oh, by the way, we're ending the series now, even though we are in the middle of the climax, and we don't care that the series won't go on anymore. We're just gonna go ahead and say 'good-bye' and end the series with a cliffhanger so big you'll never wanna see another anime by us."

Well, you can...but like I said, don't vote on yourself JUST because it is you. If you REALLY think yours is the best, then you can, but you MUST look over all the maps before you can vote on any, thus you'd have to find out which you like best...I mean...if you put yours in, but didn't think it really that good, then saw everyone else's and said "wow...mine was a bit better then the others" you'd vote for yourself...but if you thought someone else's was better, you'd vote there. But basically, you aren't allowed to vote on yourself unless you are 100% sure without a doubt yours is the best...and then you have to deal with everyone else's votes so...

Ok, so, I figured as it is already about halfway into the month, it is a little late to make a contest for this month. Reason I think that is...not enough time to vote on the map type, then make the map, then vote on which map wins. So, here's how it will work. Please vote in the poll above for which map type you want for the mapping contest. One with the most votes will be the one started in March. Poll will close February 25, 2007 at 12:00 midnight EST. The contest will then begin at that time, and all maps must be turned in by April 18, 2007 by 12:00 midnight EST. A poll will then be posted and people may vote for which map they like best. One with the most votes wins. Text in red signify what was edited on the last update date. Previous updates are listed below: February 25, 2007, 12:00AM - Rule 7 AKA "Tileset Rule" added. Let the contest begin! February 17, 2007, 4:28PM - Rule 3 and Rule 6 February 17, 2007, 12:17AM - Rule 3 Rules: 1. Do not vote for yourself just because you made the map! Look over the other maps and decide if you REALLY like yours the best. 2. All entries must be in before April 18, 2007 at 12:00 midnight EST. There has been some controversy over this in other contests. Put it plain and simple, if it is March 18, then you are too late. 3. You may use events to create design interactivity, such as butterflies, birds, and so forth. You may use them to add fogs, panoramas, light, darkness, and so forth, but otherwise, your event must not do anything, except move around and so forth. No event commands other then "Change screen tone color" "Erase Event" "Change Map settings" "Change Fog Color Tone" "Change fog opacity" and "Set Weather Effects" may be used, and they may only be used in the event that starts when the map starts up (i.e. you can add rain at the beginning, but you may not have any other events that turn off the rain). 4. You are allowed 1 map, with no transfer events or anything. 5. Your submission must be in an unencrypted demo form. 6. Your map may be no bigger then 100x100 7. As of February 25, 2007, at 12:00 AM EST, the map set has been decided. In accordance to the votes, all maps made for this contest must be made using the "ruins" tileset. Remember, all entries due by March 18, 2007 at 12:00 AM EST. Aside from those, I don't think we need any other rules...So, get out there and have fun making maps :D

I have an idea, but we all must band together for it!
EmilyAnnCoons replied to Leon's topic in General Game Development
hmm...well, let's see...if we want us as the NPCs that will be cool. I can program us to be like...sidequest people and such...so, I guess the question now is: This will give our artists a job to do in spriting at least. -
It does sound interesting, maybe a monthly contest...like on CA but -shrugs- I dunno...

Ok, so...I took in the time (as if it takes time) to make a channel for RMXP Unlimited on mIRC (or IRC as some call it). So, if you go to gamesNET and join #RMXPUnlim you SHOULD join the channel...if not, you may have to connect to server 6669 on the gamesNET but I don't think you have to...I'm not 100% sure...

Ok...not sure where to post this, but I found a bunch of avatars online the other day. Anyone who is a fan of El Goonish Shive will probably enjoy them. El Goonish Shive Avatars For some examples of things you will find, look at these: Also...I'm kind of doubtful this is in the right place, but I don't know...so, if it is, then another mod can feel free to move it ^^
