My cousin was tinkering with it(RM2000), by then he'd proudly developed a mini-map complete with a blinking indicator. I still remember the game he was making, it was ingenious for the most part. He had two world maps, they were like 100 years apart. One map, you could see the geographical differences. And he had a game boy where there were separate inventories.... Ah.
I had always revered my cousin, he had the resources, head start, and time I didn't have. At my age now, he was able to force another computer to turn on and open a display message through IP address. I gave up my dream of being that computer savvy, but I still tinker with RPG Maker for the hobby.
