  1. Thanks for the feedback on my screenshot! =) There actually already are some green spots on the map with a few trees and flowers. As you already noticed, you can see a small excerpt of this at the top of the screenshot.
  2. This is a screenshot of a map I'm currently working on, from my project Numina. The territory is called "Nebelpfade" which translates into "fog paths", but I guess I'll have to look for a more stellar name for the English translation A fog-shrouded, slightly gloomy place. Where you always have to carefuly think about your next step, in order not to fall into the bottomless abyss: The clouds are partly animated, some of them are below the player, while others "hover" above the player.
  3. Hi there! Well, I don't have any specific favorite dish. But I really like the italian, asian and the national cuisine ^^
  4. @Kiriashi Thanks for having me ^^ I hope so, but it'll be a large amount of text to translate, so I'd be happy for any assistance. I could always use someone who'd proofread dialogues and so on, if you're interested. :3 @Polraudio Hey! And I can't wait to introduce it here on rmxpu =) Not really. Someone suggested me to use the Google Translator to translate large amounts of text for the game, so that I'd just have to correct it's mistakes. But I don't really like this method, because sometimes the translator messes the text up really, really badly xD
  5. I hope someone will do this for XP, or at least the maps. Currently I'm kinda unsure if I should continue with my RMXP-project or wait for Ace, since it looks really promising.
  6. Oh! Sorry, I didn't intend to destroy your innocence ;( Yeah, especially the fingers are really a pain to draw. But you're right. I guess I just suppressed\forgot to add more detail to them
  7. I started occupying myself with drawing again. So I decided to draw a character sketch or concept work of Yulia, a female character from my project Numina (I'll share more information on the project itself very soon). Umm...And like I said, it was intended just to be some sort of a character study but turned into something way bigger Dx Warning: Contains nudity! It shows her struggeling against whatever seems to keep her captive. And as you can see she seems to succeed, maybe that's why she's smiling. Or is it because she is under control, like the lifeless marionettes on the left? Who knows... Any feedback or suggestions on how the improve the drawing are very welcome :3
  8. Wow, great job! I've never heard of this anime but your AMV really made me wanna watch it ^^
  9. I'm not sure if I got your idea the right way, Dragon324. But I think you wan't to "hide" the NPCs when they're off screen, not visible to the player, right? I think this would be achievable, but it's very inconvenient, since you'd have to keep track with any NPCs to check their positions and so on. And I think it wouldn't look very nice, because the NPCs still disappear very "abrupt". The only difference is, that you wouldn't see them disappear. I hope I could explain this somehow imaginable xD Otherwise it seems that rabbidpillow solved the problem by freezing the time in town. An idea I've got from the old SNES - Harvest Moon ^^ (aww, good old times ;D)
  10. I was quite suprised when I stumbled upon this site here: RPG Maker VX Ace Apparently enterbrain is going to release a new version of RPG Maker VX with really interessting features (coming from a person how chose not to use VX due to its tileset-limitations) New mapping-system. No limitations regarding tilesets 100 sample maps included Battle backgrounds can be composed with two images (background\panorama and ground) Video playback Up to 8 partymembers (4 active) RGSS3 Someone also posted an inofficial translation of the website here => http://www.rpgmakervxace.com/tkool/products/rpgvxace/ This sounds really exciting! What do you think?
  11. I agree with you. If you watch the first seasons again you'll notice many hidden clues or hints in hindsight. What I meant was, that they shifted more to heavily mythology and plot focused episodes. Alternating from the early (sometimes) "Monster of the week" episodes. But in comparison with Lost, I think that Fringe is more fast-paced in terms of unraveling mysteries or answering questions regarding the mythology of the show. But I haven't seen Once Upon A Time yet =o
  12. @RATED-RKOFRANKLIN I know, right? I just love it. Maybe you should check out the original from Tales of Symphonia, which appears to be a totally different song, after hearing the remix xD @Kevin.ds Wow, the graphical interface looks awesome *o* together with the character movements and the battle-animations (and the music, of course ;3) Is this an excerpt from a project of yours?
  13. Fringe is a great show. The series changed so much from it's scheme during the first seasons (which were still great) and developed into this thrilling, well-conceived and character-driven show. But it wouldn't be fair to reduce the show "just" to sci-fi. I don't want to give too much away, but the main theme that they finally revealed during the finale of season two pushed the show and it's concept to a whole new level. I'm still keeping up with it and I'll hope that it'll last a little while longer :)
  14. Phew, that's a hard one. So many great bossbattle-themes come to my mind Dx But I guess I'll go for an awesome SSH-remix of the legendary Fighting of The Spirits from Tales of Phantasia (and Symphonia)
  15. Very true. The hardest part are the differences between RGSS and RGSS2, because of some changes in the class design and structure. Some changes can be easily "translated" while others take a lot of effort and in the end it may take you even longer to adopt the script than to write it by yourself for the targeted RPG-Maker. For example a custom battle system: Many of them use or alias methods from the standard battle-scripts. This makes it harder to adopt them from one version of RGSS to another, since the battle systems are kinda different in their structure.
  16. Yeah, it's from the same series! Tales of Symphonia was the first title from the Tales series I got my hands on. And I loved it ;3
  17. That's true as long as we're talking about naming conventions and so on. But my problem were several characters like ä,ö,ü which I used for localized strings in a vocabulary-module. Apart from that the only problem were some special characters in comments. But I'm sure ForeverZer0 will find a way to solve this issue :)
  18. I have to say, I'm a big fan of the Tales series and the latest motership title released about two months ago looks awesome! Have some of you with knowledge of the Japanese language imported it or are you hoping that Namco Bandai will release a localized version within the next few years (like me)? I've got to say the few trailers and videos I saw on youtube look impressive (But I don't want to spoil my experience by watching too many videos ;D ) If you never heard of it you should check out some of the trailers =>
  19. I really want to express my endorsement for this project. It's so much easier to work with Gemini, and much more comfortable. But the bug with the wrong decoded characters is too severe, which prevents me from using it, sadly. So I'm looking forward to the updated version. Keep it up! =)
  20. I guess there are several ways to accomplish this. You could use a pathfinding-script that'll automatically guide the NPCs to their homes for example, when the Switch is activated. But it isn't an easy task, you'd also have to check if the NPCs already arrived at their homes and so on. Otherwise you could "freeze" the time, while the player explores the village but I think that isn't what you're looking for exactly ;)
  21. I thought it was time to finally join this community. I've joined a few german RPG-Maker communities and presented my current project entitled Numina there. And due to the positive feedback I'm planning on releasing it here too. Apart from that I've got to know some interesting, friendly and nice people and I'm looking forward to do the same here. I've been working with RPG-Maker XP for many years now and my current project is intendend to be the last one on this platform. It's still in an advanced "demo"-state. But I'm already looking for some native english speakers, who would proofread the dialogues - because all the dialogues are in German, and I've started to translate them ^^ So, I'm really looking forward to contributing to RMXP Unlimited, seems like a really nice community =D
