As a new member, I have to say I would be sad to see this place go so quickly after finding it. Sure, I'm not the most active person in the world, but I stop by every few days and poke around a bit. This is the only forum I found that I liked enough to join and participate on when I was searching for a community recently. From your point of view as the admin, I understand your frustration. I run a writing forum with almost 2,500 members. 7-10 people post regularly, with another 20 or so that pop by once or twice a month to check in. With that many members, we should have many more posts daily than we do, but the fact is... We don't. People like to lurk and see what others are saying and doing. But, for those 7-10 people that post regularly, I keep the site up and running. Because it means something to them and they would be sad to see it go. Restarting some of the more conversational topics as mentioned above might be a good way to spark some more frequent visits / posts. Sort of a spring cleaning for the boards. Or, as also suggested, perhaps handing over main admin duties to someone else. It's hard to share something you've put so much work into on your own, but rather than disappearing completely, that might be a nicer alternative?

Thanks for the speedy response / fix! The script works perfectly now.

Alright, I've been testing and poking at this all day. I'm giving up and asking for help now. I've implemented this code into my game from the Scripts' Database onsite. I also created an item as a case for the 8 pendants that are a side quest in my game. After adding the images for the items and a common event to pull up the case on screen, everything works when you don't have any of the pendants. Once you obtain a pendant, it will still open, but then upon exiting the case, the game stops responding. I'm sure it's something simple that I'm missing, but help?

This was what made me decide to scrap everything and start fresh. I was originally just going to edit what was there and add more to make things more interesting, but I was terribly unimpressed with the super inflated numbers for literally everything. And I've managed to combine a [hopefully] decent mix of metal names and original, more creative ones as I go. I think just keeping my super time consuming and incredible OCD spreadsheet is going to be the best way about going about fixing everything up.

Not gonna lie, this is something I've been avoiding as much as I possibly could because I knew how insanely huge and time consuming it was going to be. However, I've gotten to the point in my story now where the second character comes in and it's time to think about classes and weapons and armor... So on and so forth. I've played a lot of RPGs and I've read over these tutorials multiple times. But other than that, there doesn't seem to be a lot around about rebuilding the database from scratch. Am I crazy for wanting to delete everything that's already there and start over with my own stuff, or is this just something that no one ever talks about? Regardless, I'm interested in knowing what sort of tips / tricks any of you have for working on the database. Do you delete it all and start anew? or do you build off of what RMXP has already given us? Personally, I'm working out of a multi-tabbed excel spreadsheet right now. I went through and established the eight classes I'm going to be using within my game and graded their stats / abilities on an A-F scale before deciding what type of weapons, equipment, and accessories would be available for each one. I'm working on the actual weapons and upgrades currently... Which leads to another question, but more of an opinion than anything. Do you prefer the way RMXP has it set up with all types of weapons being bronze, iron, steel, mythril, over and over again? Or would you rather have more creative names, like plate mail, carabineer mail, dragon mail, mirror mail, etc.? I'm on the fence with that one, personally.

Hey, it was easy enough to work around. The forums still functioned with it, so I'd say that's minor. ;]

I took a screenshot [which I am too lazy to resize]: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v287/theoryoferin/ScreenShot007_zps17a159f1.png I am also using Chrome, FWIW.

It looks really great! You've clearly put a lot of hard work into this. The only [minor, aesthetic only] negative thing I would even mention is that the forums are all squished to the left with a lot of blank space to the right. If spacing it out is an option, that is literally the only thing I would change that I have seen. And that is an appearance-only "issue." Again, amazing work!

A few... Sort of. They're all pretty much RM Everything boards, but I'm telling myself that all the cool kids are still hanging on to RMXP. xD

Hello! I've been lurking around these forums a lot for the last two / three weeks and figured it was about time that I made an account and started commenting on things now, before I needed to comment on something and didn't have one. I've been working with RMXP since 2011, but just recently started to buckle down and actually work on my game, All the King's Men. This forum looked like one of the more active RMXP forums still, so I thought I'd get to know people around here. [:
