  1. Thanks for the advice and welcome ;) Thanks, nice to meet you too :)
  2. Understood. So you think it's better to start my project in VX, right? I will do it. I want to create an island first to test all my ideas, and I will learn with your tutorials, thanks for doing something like this, your work is very important.
  3. Thanks :) and it's a awesome game for those who don't give too much importance about graphics, but the roleplay is awesome. Thanks, and I will try don't let my motivation go away, for sure :D and if you don't have time, don't start to play Tibia, it will ruin your life. Seriously. I will need, and I will PM you. I've already took a look on tutorial section, and selected some to learn now, and after. Is VX Ace better than the other? I don't really know the difference... if it's better, why people still using the XP?
  4. I know nothing about Game Design, so the RPG Maker is the only way I know. I would use the RPG Maker only to see "what happens", if people would like to play, and then consider to pay a server, recruiting professional people, etc. I think using RPG Maker isn't a problem cause I don't want magnificent graphics, I want only the roleplay, that people do what they want to do. You want to kill a NPC? Go ahead, but you will be banned from the town. RPG Maker have a good looking graphic, in my opinion, and is something even the worst PC would run the game, I think... and I'm already learning something about scripting, but it will take time cause of university.
  5. Ok, I will google, and I'm not in hurry, so I will add you, ok? I will search more, thanks for the help.
  6. Is it possible to make a point-and-click game in RPG Maker XP? Left Button exclusive for walking, right button for attack, openning chests, discovering something hided on tileset, etc. Both at the same time showing what you are clicking on, is it possible? And Dynamic Chat, example: Player- Hi NPC- Hello, player. Player- Katniss Everdeen NPC- I don't know this person. Player- Sword NPC- Ask me for a trade and see what I have. Player- Trade *A shop windows pops-up* Another conversation... Player- Hi NPC- Hello, player. Player- Sword NPC- Ask me for a trade and see what I have. Player- God's Sword NPC- .Oh, how do you know about it? I know nothing. Player- God's Sword NPC- Ok, I can tell you someone that know about this sword more than me, go to east and find Dartagnan. This without the need of clicking anywhere, it would be like the system chatof Ragnarok, or Tibia, but the NPC would "answer" you for many keywords. Is it possible?
  7. Hi, my name is Matheus, and I'm Brasilian. My idea is to create a RPG, like the one we play with our friends in our homes, but online. What this implies? You can do almost whatever you want. "But many RPG are like this", but I've never seen a RPG that every one can contribute for the entiry game. My intention is to create a MMORPG and give a life to it. If you kill every orc in a village, with no re-spawn, why can't you claims this village for the human race? Thinking about Updates, if the players conquers a city, this city will be available with NPCs in the next update. If they lost a battle in a town, and don't take it back, so they will lost this city in the next update. If they buy too much weapons from a NPC, the NPC will be more experienced and will make better weapons. Got the idea? Things like kill a dragon without heavy equipment would be impossible, battle with a Leavianthan alone? Never. I want to create a game that you need to be part of a team, a guild, whatever you want, but not to play alone. That you can create your own weapons if you want. Want to hunt alone? go kill wolfs, not dragons. I'm creating the basics ideas, and don't even know if the name will really be Genesis. But I really want to make a fantastic game, and I need your help. 1. The game storyline / The game synopsis The world some many-thousand-million years ago was divided. The central Mainland, no owners. The adjacents "islands" (You can think in continents) was designed for each superior race. Humans, Orcs, Elfs, Cyclops, Dwarves (and other if I decide). In need of new resources all races started to explore the Main Continent, but there's some monster there. 2. The game’s main characters Each one is the Main Character, it's a MMORPG 3. The Script(s) and System(s) your game will be using My idea is to use a non-stop screen, I don't know if it's possible, but that's what I want. Buildings with "real" height, compared to character height without the transition of screen when entering some place. ABS battle. And the body of the monster must stay on the floor for the looting system, and disappearing in sometime.
  8. Ok, sorry for that. I will do as soon as possible, ok? Sorry for the inconvenience. And thanks for the welcome.
  9. If anyone have interest to play create a char in "Antica" Server, my char is "Sir Dante Alighieri", I can help if someone need. And thanks for the welcome ;)
  10. Hi people, I know I've recently entered the Forum, so probably it's too soon to try to recruit someone. But I have the feel this idea can become something great. Anyone here already played Tibia. If not, let me explain. Tibia is an online RPG like that we play with our friends with someone telling the stories, but online. You talk with the NPCs and they answer when you say a keyword, sometimes you need to do something before they can answer you, or hold an item. But there are too many problems that I know I can do better, much better. I will post the story after, but it's basically a world that all races are in war. Why? Territory! My idea is that even a tiny action of each players to have its own consequences. New cities updates would come when the players could kill all the orcs in their village, so in a update we would 'transform' the orc village in a village for humans. There will be no "level", level isn't logic in anyway... why killing a type of monster make you good in killing dragons? Ok, it raiises your combat skill, but not enough to kill a dragon alone. In order to kill a dragon alone you must kill dozens with a group. That's the idea of my game. A true RPG. The story itself doesn't exist, the players will do the story. They wil be the story. There is a powerful sword guarded by a dragon? So the one who get it will be the only owner, no respawn for it. I want something that unite the RPG players, that you can't kill an horde of dragons alone, neither kill one without heavy equipment. Hope anyone want to join me. Oh, and I'm Brasilian, so if there's anyone here you can talk with me in portuguese. Or anyone who knows portuguese too.
  11. Hi peolpe, sorry for my english, but I will try make myself clear. I'm a Tibia player and fascinated for RPGs since I was a child. Played too much with my friends, everybody used to play RPG in my house while eating pizza, it was awesome. Almost everytime I was the Master of the RPG, creating the story, world, and everything, and now the game that most approach to this type is Tibia. But even Tibia, in my view, has his flaws, and I know I can create something like Tibia, but better. But I know nothing about scripts, mapping engines, events, etc. Hope this forum will help me in these areas, and maybe someday some of you have interest in forming an team with me to create this game. I promise it will be awesome.
