Alright, I dunno why I ever locked these in the first place, lol. Thanks Pol. XD Anyways, my RPG series isn't going so well...and so I'm going to give this one another shot. I'm really wanting to work with RMXP and create something awesome...but I needz help! So, read up on what Mario Party is if you don't know about it, otherwise skip the next three paragraphs. For those of you who don't know, Mario Party is a series of games that started out on the N64. It is a board game where a maximum of four players (I heard there being 8 for a GCN/Wii game, never played it though so I'm not entirely sure), you win the game by acquiring more coins and/or stars than your opponents. But there's more to it, item shops allow you to buy items where different items do different stuff; such as the mushrooms where a mushroom allows you to roll two dice while a golden mushroom gives you three dice! There are also others where one can summon Boo (or chain chomp in the later games) that will steal your opponent's coins or stars for a fee. Heck, there is also a rare item that takes you directly to the space where a star lies! There are also the type of spaces, blue spaces when land on give you 3 coins (towards the last few turns it may double), red spaces take away 3 coins, Bowser spaces summon...um, Bowser? Bowser has the ability to do many things to the person who summoned him or even all the characters, all of the things obviously being bad...he can steal all or your games, steal a star, or bring up a mini-game where it can be hard to win where the losers lose half of their coins. There are other spaces but we need to move on. Last thing I'm mentioning...After everyone makes their turn on the board, a mini game shows up at random...it can either be a 4-Player Battle (Free for all, basically), bonus mini-game is basically a free for all but everyone can win coins, 1 vs. 3 battles, and 2 vs. 2 battles. There is also the rare occasion of a special battle popping up, where certain amount of coins are taken (decided by a roulette wheel) from each character and the winner takes most of the coins, while 2nd placed winner takes some, and sometime the 3rd place winner takes um....1 coin...lol. There are tons of the mini-games...there are other types, like Bowser's games I mentioned earlier, and Duels. Mapper: Kiriashi, he'll deal with mapping...I know he'll help me, lol. Spriter: RTP-styled sprites would look weird for this type of game probably...so, style depends on what the maps look like. Artist: For the tilesets I'm going to see and how it looks when I draw them out and colored, I have all the art crap to do this, as well as a scanner, so yeah. :P Battler/Character artist: For the characters from other video games and anime, I'll just use their graphics...for original characters as well as myself and my friends...I plan on having them anime-styled. So if you know anyone able to do this, please lemme know. Musician: A lot of the music I'll be using will come from Brawl's soundtrack as well as music from the Mario Party games, though I would like to have some original stuff here. Menus: Polraudio will be helping out on this part. Woohoo. Eventer/Variables: Joey and Tomo2000, yeah...tons events will be dealt with here, and I'm thinking the Stars and coins you get throughout a game will be using variables... I'm probably missing some stuff, so point them out if I don't see it then. Oh, and more than one person can take one position if you like. I'll add more later once this thread gets some replies and positions are taken.

No, I've made it so the personal photo is the same as my avatar...so, I'm guessing what Wyzrd said is true...going to try it now.

It will probably change as soon as I post this, that sort of stuff always happens to me...Anyways the avatar I had is getting old, so I decided to hunt down another one...I uploaded it (followed the file size rule), but when I return to the forums main page it shows my avatar as the last one...Does it take this long to change it once I make the change or something? Or maybe its my computer/internet...?

Alright well...I'm probably going to need help getting started, since there are a lot of stuff I'll be clueless about...such as the dice system and how it works with the board, and there is the multiplayer part of the game, and how the players control their characters. (I'm thinking of somehow using different options such as one player using the keyboard, while another uses an XBox 360 controller, etc.) Anyways, I'm at my dad's parents right now...and I'm going to say this...we're having internet issues back at home. My dad probably knows what it is and he might be able to fix it, but for now I don't know when I'll be back.

Well I thought both were going to be involved, well since I'm better with eventing I'll go with that. With the graphics I'm going to actually try something new, I'm wanting to see how things such as the maps and stuff would look if I drew and colored them out. I have the stuff I need to do it...and I do a pretty good job at drawing and coloring stuff out.

Well probably one important thing is that this will be a board game, so there has to be a dice system involved. That's all I can think of at the moment, I mean there's a lot of stuff in a Mario Party game, if you haven't played it, well...There are the mini-games, the board itself where it contains different types of spaces, there's the coin system though I'm sure that's going to be easy (involves variables, I'm pretty sure I could handle that), the same deal with the stars...and there are the items where they can all do craploads of stuff...lol If you've played the games and/or know a lot about them just let me know what I should take a look at.

Yeah I thought so, it's going to be a challenge, but I'm sure we (my team when I get one anyways) can do it...This would be a good chance to revive my artistic skills as well since I could draw Mario Party maps. Are there any tutorials I should look at though?

I always wanted to make one...and with XP's ability to let you add in or edit scripts I'm sure that this can be done. If it is I'm thinking of putting my RPG I've been trying to work on away for a while and do this instead...I always loved most of the Mario Party games and wanted to make one of my own, heck, back then I remember trying to make a board game from it...Now with RMXP I think it will be possible to make a 2-D RPG-like party game.

a virus could cause that? Weird, anyways I've scanned it before (I have a powerful anti-virus program....or two, lol) and my computer is clean.

I don't know if anyone else is noticing (or if its my computer for some odd reason), but when you look at the "last post" info for a thread, the time is sometimes wrong. Like for instance a post from yesterday sometimes appears as a post posted today, refreshing the page sometimes fixes the problem, but other times the time just changes. It's not that big of a deal, but it is getting annoying sometimes...making you think "Oooh, Igots a new post in my thread!" *clicks thread to view post*..."Waah? The post from yesterday?". So yeah, you get the point right? :P lol Thanks.

Wow, lol...well I'm like towards the end of the first Temple in my game, and I've been stuck there since then. Been trying to get some scripts for a few things to move on...not to mention a few sprites and a character set or two. What's your game about anyway? (or did you make a thread about that already like I did? lol)

Yeah, you're right, I remember you too...you're the guy with that freaky rat picture with the pencil up his butt or somethin, lol. I think he had the pencil, can't remember exactly... EDIT: Oh yeah, and you never did the whole "holiday spirit" thing either, lol.

1. Isabella (Advance Wars: Days of Ruin) - I just like her...lol, her abilities are somewhat similar to Adder's and Grit's...characters that I use often in Dual Strike. 2. Quadraxis (Metroid Prime 2) - Come on...who DOESN'T like a giant four-legged robot for a boss battle? This thing rocks, and I love his music. 3. MetaKnight (kirby series) - Every Kirby fan knows him, he's just awesome...'nuff said. 4. Midna (LoZ: Twilight Princess) - Another one of my favorites, don't know why...but I just like her, interesting how her attitude changes throughout the game... 5. Vivian (Paper Mario 2: TTYD) - I like her powers, and I just like her...the way her sisters treated her just makes you want to go in there and beat the crap out of them. But Vivian joining your party in the middle of the game is even better. 6. Ike (Fire Emblem/Smash Bros. Brawl) - I think I should start getting into Fre Emblem, I haven't even touched the series...and yet Ike's one of my best characters in Brawl...funny eh? "Great...AETHER!!!" *slashes at his opponents and sends them skyrocketing* :P There's my Top Fi-...er, Six...lol

I'm not a big fan anime honestly...but I have a few favorites... Eureka Seven (obviously) Fullmetal Alchemis Shin-Chan And I guess Code Geass would be another one... And then there's Ryrouni (however you spell it, I forget now) Kenshin, a show they stopped showing for some time now...I might just hunt down the DVDs someday after I finish getting FMA's.

Guess I'm staying, I'll grab my script request in a few since its the only main thing I need to get started again. Thanks. EDIT: Forgot, I don't have any skills worth noting for RMXP honestly. As long as I can get everything I need (scripts, resources, etc.) I can put them together to make a game. And yes, by looking at my avatar now...I like Eureka, bite me...>_> lol.
