He may have pointed you out or used you as an example, but he was speaking to all STAFF. It is a excuse. You can't justify people knowing something as a general fact or law by WHAT YOU DEEM AS A GENERAL RULE. You are deeming it, thus it is your opinion and has no weight to be used as a fact. I have never seen a forum who did not CLEARLY POST A RULE, but would have a punishment due to the fact that the THE PERSON thought it was general knowledge accross all forums. Because if this was my first time on a forum your so called claim of it being known is false. The FACT is if it is not in BLACK AND WHITE it is not breaking any rules!!! It cost me about $57, but they have it for as low as $52 (missing the instructions or the CD has stickers on it). They also have Valkeri (I think I spelled it wrong) Profile for like $88. I plan on getting it as when I owned it I never got to finish it. And this all started when I was trying to find FF7 as I have not played any FF game lower than 8 (not including the ones released on more modern consoles like FF3 DS, FF for the PSP; which I own). Thats cool you can get it on the Playstation Story (waiting on my PS3 to come; just bought it like a day ago online). Do they have any other FF titles (PSX or PS2)?

My thoughts on this are as follows:

So I was searching E-bay and Google for old PSX games to find FF7. However most games I found there where bid only or being sold for like over $58.00 (USD). So then I went to google and just typed in "buy old PSX games" and manage to find this site: http://www.jjgames.com They sell old school games, consoles, accessories, etc (mostly all used). I know, and I said spam no matter how much you want to surger coat it is still spam no matter how you look at it. The spam forum is designated for spam and other topics in it that has nothing to do with spam do not belong, thus it can't evolve with topics that are not spam...suger coated or not! As a WRITER I know this, but words are just words with a preset definition. How someone reads them has nothing to do with spam, just how they interpret the words; lack of knowledge or ignorance is a poor excuse to call something spam. Perhaps, but laying the hammer down and you would see a lack of it. When helping Heaven to Stone on his forum, the only spam we ever got was random pron images, but never from members. Preset rules and quick response from staff laid the law to members spam was not allowed. Any anyone who was amember knew that the place was relaxed, but spam was never really an issue. Informing your memebers and taking action when they fail to comply will solve this issues (which you have already started). Okay, but I am talking about forum spam...unless your just pointing it out.

No it is not spam. Its a topic of discussion about someone reaching "amount" of posts. As for it becoming a spammy topic...only if the staff was not doing their job or... Spam can not eveolve. It is either spam or not plain and simple. Your meaning was that it was funny. Serious or not it had a purpose behind it thus so would the topic with in it self. I watched it and I must disagree that it is spam. Could only be spam if you posted the video with out an explination as to why you did it or if the video was insulting or pornagraphic in nature. Spam has no gray, white, black area. It is spam or not as the definition says: Spam or not spam...no gray area!

Well yes in away. Marked said most people post things in the spam forum that should not be there. So to this conclusion the staff have been doing their job, but also not. Just because someone posted it in the span forum dosn't make it spam. Lets look at a few things of some of the type of topics found in the spam forum: Replace the text, "insert picture here" with an actuall image and such a topic would go in the Cafe (general discussion). Such a topic also is not spam and could fit in the Cafe (general discussion). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think people including some moderators are not aware or have an acurate definition of what SPAM is: Are prime examples of what spam is, thus the SPam forum is usless as people do NOT use it correctly.

Okay, not a problem. Well if it was guest or some new user they still would not be able to bump a topic made by a guest or member. It had to be clear and simply necro posting or an issue with the New Posts or Bump system and I doubt it was the last of the two as no reports have been made for this MOD which has been out for quite some time. Why did you open it to all in the first place? Seems odd and kind of pointless, but to each their own. Well when I enter a topic I always read a few posts and check post dates, but that's just me. It happens. It's not a matter of rules, but commen sense.

Yes I did read it and this topic has nothing to do with what he is doing about it. I was pointing out to people the following: 1) A person who did not start the topic can not BUMP it. 2) People had no reason to SHOUT in the STATUS UPDATE to random people about bumping topics as they clearly did not see if it was even possiable to bump someone elses topic. 3) It looked more like people NECRO POSTING then bumping. 4) There are sections on the community that should be used instead of shouting it in the status update. 5) If you use the status update to inform staff of issues it should be direct and none of this, "STOP BUMPING TOPICS." 6) Such stuff (example in #5) makes the community look as if we can't deal or handle issues on the forum in a more camly manner.

I feel the need to complain about this complaining of people bumping topics. First off YOU can't bump a topic YOU DID NOT START. I know this because when you enter someone elses topic the BUMP button does not appear. This is clearly people Necro Posting (which would bump a topic as a new post appeared in it). And for the status UPDATES I have read...very imature! If you see an issue or problem (ecpescially if your STAFF) you need to get a hold of someone who can fix it or look into the matter by doing the following: 1) Creating a topic in this very forum (feedback). 2) PM an Administrator Taking matters into your own hands (member or Mod) and shouting in the status update WILL not solve anything and makes the site look as if its full of imature people who can't go about the correct way with dealing with issues that arise on the forum or site. This place has a proccess for such issues, try and use them. The status update is not one of them and even if you did use it, what you write should be geared toward the staff who can fix it: not: Because as I already stated you can't bump someone elses topic. Only the creature of the topic can. Bottom line here and lesson to be learned: 1) Research--- by entering someone elses topic you would have noticed you can't bump it! 2) The Source--- use the feedback forum. this is a prime example of why it it here. 3) If you wish to report an issue using the STATUS UPDATE, be respectful and DONT order people to do stuff. Especially if you don't know the actual issue (person or error causing it).

Yes when we pull into a port (which depends on a few things, but usally is every 2-3 weeks). I've been to Japan, China, and few other places I can't remember. So far my favorite place is Phuket.

I work with Naval Officers flight gear. Inspect it, repair, fix, etc. It's a Navy job. EDIT Oh and I said I would not be as active, not leaving for two weeks.

So if your reading this you probably thought this was a spam topic, but-not. Well I am currently on a cruise (and not not a vacation one) and the internet connection is slow. So my activity (if you already had not noticed) will be lacking for about two weeks (+ or - a day or two).

Then if what you say is true then this would once again fit the bill of staff doing whgat they should and moving topics to the correct forum if posted in the wrong one. This would include the spam forum.

No it is not. The key is STAFF doing their job and a such a forum would not be needed. You allow it in one area and people will post it in other areas. This has been proven many times on this community alone.

Perhaps it would be good to just remove the Spam forum. Allow it in one area and people will over time spread it to other areas.

I like the design, but the color is not catching my eye.
