  3. .....hey Tomo.... I was thinking....which type of horror are you going for? The reaction horror (viva la Resident Evil series) or the more psychological horror (a la Silent Hill series)
  4. Ah ok, well I was just concerned because I have an overdrive system which combines classes to create a hybrid "aeon" class if you will and also I was concerned about the skills. I was going to have different skills for the different classes *e.i warriors would have mostly status effect skills such as armor break, power break and such while dragoons would have the dragon based attacks*. So thats 2 votes for normal class upgrade correct (option 2)? That makes it alot easier on skills and work on the overdrive system.
  5. Which option sounds better? Option 1: Warrior <> Squire <> Knight <> Dragoon Each one are different classes with different skills but you unlock the next by getting the previous to a certain lv *not the classes max lv tho* (ex. Warrior lv 10 unlocks squire lv 1) and you are able to change back to a previous class Option 2: Warrior > Squire > Knight > Dragoon You have to max out the previous class to gain the new class and you cannot go back once you do. Skills are basically upgraded versions I ask this because with my mage/magic users I dunno what I should do regarding the different classes and their skillsets.

I was thinking of doing an event like the one in Pkmn: D/P in the Old Chateau where the player would turn and face the painting and nothing would be there but when the player turns around with their back to it then eyes would appear but we could do something else along those lines...now that I think about it, its kinda like the ghosts/boos from Mario World (they would stop when Mario was facing them but start to move when Mario's back was to them. Also, the house should have some suits of armor that look like decorations and dont do anything during the first passing bys (like in a hallway) but when the player needs to go through the hallway for something else (so look for items to escape or something else) the suits come alive....or we could do a puzzle with them (pushing them around or something). Just throwing around some ideas

  10. Well parallel universes arent necessarily opposite but it just means that the universe will never intersect with another. Think of them as billions upon billions of you. Say you have the choice of having cereal or poptarts for breakfast. In one you choose cereal, in another you choose poptarts, in one you dont even wake up in time for breakfast. And on and on and on, all possible "what if" questions happen in a different universe but there are so many "what if" questions that we encounter everyday that makes it impossible to see the future kinda like what Marked said. Has anyone seen that movie with Nicolas Cage movie "Next". *Highlight text as it is a spoiler* He is a Las Vegas magician who can see 2 minutes into the future and is being chased down by the FBI so they can use his power. Basically he comes across a girl who enables him to see a full 2 days into the future. The point i want to get a across is at the end of the movie they succeed in stopping a terrorist group from setting up bombs only for Cage to realized that he "messed up somewhere" and didn't predict the future correctly. The cast, along with the entire west coast I think, go up in flames in get nuked. The movie then zones back out to Cage and the girl, insisting that he played out the events of the future 2 days in his head. Kinda relates to the whole you never know the future intil it becomes the present That mirror question is interesting, I do know what mirrors are like snowflakes and no 2 are exactly the same due to the process of how mirrors are made (superheating sand) but im sure if that did happen then either existance would end or you would have discovered the fourth dimension heehee EDIT: Also I just thought of something, if there was another universe that was completely opposite to ours then both would still exist just as there is good and evil in the world. Im not trying to say that good and evil are completely yin and yang but im saying that universes arent anti-matter and matter. Now it is true that anti-matter and matter did create the universe we live in (sorry but im not "true" religious type) but its kinda like any living thing. For example both your parents assisted in making you but your not either/or ya know? Maybe im just rambling again...

I support what Marked said but also....I dunno if this falls under "Fate" or what have you but I do think that there is an inconceivable amount of parallel universes, each with their own unique take on your life, the affects of it and just..well everything. Fate is just another creation to ease our minds and while i don't call it fate per se i do infact believe in it, but in the form of Luck. Sorry if i ran around in circles heehee

  13. With the blood armor question, basically yea. I just kinda put that there cuz I was goin to put "if you had a party for 4 blood mages" but then i remembered that both blood mages and the other class are special classes that the main character cant get. A demo would be great, i have a script that i found. Havent really had a chance to look it over tho, i'll post the url if you want it. And bleed is just like venom...I forget where I got it from tho, maybe we can come up with a different effect? As for the soul renewal, since BM use HP i was thinking of not giving them alot of MP so it would bascially just use all their mp for full HP but we could do intervals like 1MP = 1000 HP or something along those lines EDIT: Bleed is basically like Sap where the max hp of the character bleeding decreases slowly. Also, decided to name for first vampire-like class the Revenant.
  14. Well so far I have come up with one original npc class and another one that I saw the script and liked the idea for. The one I came up with are a mesh of a vampire and werewolf kind of. *they are recruitable party members* These are apart of the storyline and you have to fight 2 of these. They use claws as they're weapon and at first they can only use attack and feed. Feed allows them to regain some health but they also transform into their more beastly animal like counterparts. Skills I thought of: Claws of Blood - Not very powerful but very accurate attack Shred - Damaging attack (may give def down status) Rend Flesh - Damaging attack (High chance of bleeding) Maul - Powerful but inaccurate attack Impale - 100% Chance of bleeding Blood Frenzy - (Basically a party version of Berserk) Berserk - Attack the foe with uncontrollable fury Devour - Eat one foe inorder to heal one's injuries Feed - Think lancet from FFX, just steals HP & MP The second I came across was a Blood Mage, which uses HP instead of MP for spells. Now I know this kinda sounds dumb but this mage will basically be a warrior that uses magic. Some spells I thought of: Soul Renewal - Depletes remaining MP to fully restore HP. Crimson Rain - Rains blood on all enemies, dealing damage. Increase HP - Increases max HP for one ally Bloodbath - Rains blood over the entire battlefield, damaging both enemy and ally alike. Now while I was writing this down in my notebook i was thinking that neither class should be affected by "blood" skills. Like if you have 2 blood mages, 1 of the first class (i haven't named it yet) and the main character with blood armor then they aren't affected if a BM uses Bloodbath

  20. Example Here I needed two dueling npcs so i came up with this event. I think the timing may be off so could somebody look at it for me to make sure?
  21. How do you make a skill only usable when a certain weapon is equipped? Such as Jump with lances for Dragoons
  22. I need a few weapon icons for the following weapons: Boomerang Shuriken Chakram Throwing Needle (sewing needle kind of) Kunai yo-yo Pinwheel Windmill Shuriken (think Naruto) and last but not least a Blitzball type ball just without the bumps Thanks for any help you can give
  23. I put down a single square 186-Bulletin01 and it changes to half of the double square signs when I read it while testing.....help? EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. I just needed to check the "Direction Fix" Button
