  1. EDIT: A lot of Anti-viruses will come up clean. Sometimes they don't even detect JAVA infections. Scan your Java or do a full scan (will sometimes time 5+ hours). I had AVAST, it didn't work for well for me (lost 3-4 PCs). Do you ever get a BLUE screen with white text after a freezeup or shut down? That is usually a virus or massive "I can't run this stuff! *cry cry*" from the PC (aka, the baby syndrome my PC suffers from). Solution 1 (rather, something extremely helpful that could help determine whether its a virus or PC dump): Solution 2:
  2. Good idea, Rated. I completely forgot about that. I should remember my SNL skits :( Try what Rated said as well. You can tell what you recently installed by clicking the bottom left icon of the windows and then click "ALL PROGRAMS" and then scroll around. New programs will be highlighted in yellow/orange :D
  3. If you have it installed, it could be causing problems. I highly doubt you have it installed, but just in the off chance it is, I felt I should mention it. To see if you have Gameguard, search your installed programs, your programs folders or do a search on your PC. Its basically a software that comes with a lot of games and softwares. :P EDIT: Oh...your install might be infected, or your PC could be. You should scan your Pc, files and softwares, just in case.
  4. This should be stickied...Anyways xD Thanks to the wonderful, awesome "kellessdee" for the light script. It will literally bring my maps, when I learn to map better, to life! Thank you so much kellessdee! I would say "credits in my game" but that's not enough (you will be added of course lol). :( I will think of something, I promise! :33 I'm working on lighting for my games (as suggested :D) and I was wondering if my lighting is good? I'm aware people event light that flickers, which I will try and do, but I'm trying to learn baby steps so I don't overwhelm myself xD So? What do you guys think? Too bright of light, or anything? Thanks! :D
  5. A lot of programs can work fine without graphics cards, so if its broken and some things work, that doesn't really mean its not problem. You can run a scan of your PC specs and see if its up to date or have problems. You may also want to update your cards, that could be a reason. Or, completely uninstall from your PC. Delete all the old folders (except your game, of course), therefore making your PC "clean" of the software. Now reinstall it and make sure you put your RGSS folder with the Enterbrain folder. Depending on where you put your files, it could be causing problems. It could also be Gameguard.
  6. Dead graphics/video card, dirty PC, dirty vents and fans.
  7. Have you checked your Firewall and Anti-virus? It could be that you PC can no longer load and work the exe...
  8. It works! Its so awesome! Ohmygoshitsperfect! Thank you so much, kellessdee! :33 Exactly lined up too! :D Three more questions: And this will work with any size of maps, right? :biggrin_002: Also, is there a way to make a flickering effect? I was thinking erasing the event, past the script again, erase the event etc etc with different light pictures to create a flickering effect, but I'm not sure if the script allows it. It seems you can only make one script call on one map, otherwise it gives you a Syntax error. :sweatdrop:
  9. *Sorry this is late, my internet keeps dying on me :(* Oh wow, thank you kellessdee! :33 I put it over main and made a event script command "$scene.draw_light('Light Render', 200)" but I received this error: Here is what my event looks like :sweatdrop:
  10. Does your anti-virus have permission to load it? Sometimes, after system updates or scans, it an anti-virus software will lock certain software (happens to me and my Digimon RPG Exe lol). Does it give any message when it crashes, or does it load up, freeze, shut down or just it open and then just shut off quickly?
  11. Firstly, thank you again :) Hmm...if I make it a Fog, I won't be able to use other fogs on the map. Like the tree fogs in a forest. I was hoping to make it so I could have some tree fog and a picture of sunbeams to make forests and whatnot :) Lastly, I guess its a support topic now? :P
  12. Another great script! This will help me with my new found light maps. It will make it easier take a screenshot of my games. :biggrin_002: Thank you again, for submitting your awesome scripts to the site, ForeverZer0 C: *repped*
  13. This is absolutely amazing! Oh my gosh! I loved the Battle Arena in FF6 a lot! This would be great for my FF6 sequel :33 Thank you so much for sharing this fabulous script, ForeverZer0! :alright:
  14. Well, if you die twice for the Old Dragon Balls, you couldn't be brought back. And if you're dead and die again (losing your halo/evil thing), you die die and can never be wished back. If I remember correctly.
  15. Okay, now I know how get the right, proper size according to my map sizes. Thank you guys so much! :D I tried the X & Y command, but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. It keeps moving with the player.
  16. Oh, for some reason I did not see that part. . Well, I did try that (before I posted the thread) and was using GIMP. But once I imported the image, it reduced the size of the image. :sweatdrop: I'll try with Photoshop... :D
  17. Have any of you heard of the Dragon Ball Online game in Korean? It might get translated, but either way it looks really fun. :biggrin_002: If I may ask, why not? :sweatdrop: Kuja is just weird...
  18. How do you figure out width/height? I tried using GIMP to set up a grid and counted the grid to match that in the game editor. Some of my maps are really big. :sweatdrop: Overlay? I don't have an overlay option  And finding the exact size is something I can't seem to do :(
  19. This is a great script! Especially for people wanting games like Harvest Moon :biggrin_002: Great work, ForeverZer0 :alright:
  20. I was going to nominate kellessdee, but he is already nominated. I haven't been active in a while, so I can't remember much of the active members when I was on. :sweatdrop: Hmmm...I'll nominate Broken Messiah :)
  21. Hello RMXPU! I have request, which I hope isn't too big of a request. To answer the (obligated lol) question of "google"; yes, I have run thousands of Google searches before I even thought about thinking about thinking to make a request thread for a tutorial. I have found many tutorials on creating the actually lights, I have found the light script here and the like. The script is is good, but it doesn't allow a great deal of costumes (at least, reading the threads and script, I don't see how it does), so I would like to be able to create lights on my maps -- example sunshine, window light, fire light, crystal light etc etc -- but I can't figure it out. I always have two major problems: 1. (Biggest problem) Finding out the size of my maps so I can effectively make the correct image overlay (for example, one of my maps is 25x25 in editor). 2. Getting the image of the lights to stop following the player around T.T I want to be able to do something like this: If anyone could help me out, that would be really great. :D
  22. Thanks, Rgangsta. :biggrin_002: Patience is part of it, yes :) The rest is that I think its fun. I think the bottom of the frames need editing. Too much brown...
  23. Okay! I think I took care of the problem!
  24. Yes, that's why I put it in quotes :biggrin_002: *I'm a she, by the way :)*
  25. I love Dragon Ball Z (though I love Dragon Ball more lol). I stopped watching because the channel it airs on for me has been taken away from us. I watched up to Goku "killing" Frieza, when everyone heads to Earth. I kinda like watching the old, battered, older looking DBZ than Kai, the same for Dragon Ball. But DBZ is DBZ! :33
