Point-and-click and Dynamic chat system

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to make a point-and-click game in RPG Maker XP? Left Button exclusive for walking, right button for attack, openning chests, discovering something hided on tileset, etc. Both at the same time showing what you are clicking on, is it possible?

And Dynamic Chat, example:

Player- Hi

NPC- Hello, player.

Player- Katniss Everdeen

NPC- I don't know this person.

Player- Sword

NPC- Ask me for a trade and see what I have.

Player- Trade

*A shop windows pops-up*

Another conversation...

Player- Hi

NPC- Hello, player.

Player- Sword

NPC- Ask me for a trade and see what I have.

Player- God's Sword

NPC- .Oh, how do you know about it? I know nothing.

Player- God's Sword

NPC- Ok, I can tell you someone that know about this sword more than me, go to east and find Dartagnan.

This without the need of clicking anywhere, it would be like the system chatof Ragnarok, or Tibia, but the NPC would "answer" you for many keywords. Is it possible?

yes, it can be done with scripts.

I'm pretty sure someone already made a script for 'point and click' walking. google it

the chat idea sounds very interesting.. if you can't find any script to do that, and you're not in a hurry, I can write you one.
